    Mine was purchased through Wickes.

As a consumer I had no choice about using BVC, silly me I thought I was buying from Wickes!

But no, get half a delivery, phone to see where the missing parts are.... finally get through, get cut of, keep trying... keep try.... very trying!

"Yes sir we'll send them out to you right away." OK, cool, can you send them to the store please, I don't want to have another day off work to await delivery. No problem sir!
Check with the store manager if thats OK. Yes, no problem, I'll keep a lookout.

2 day later one part turns up, tried to deliver to my house not the store. What a surprise, I was at work, but the neighbour very kindly signed for what I can only describe as a brown box football. I think it had been used as a replacement for a football around the factory. Bits missing!

Try to get through to BVC again... no joy.. why am I doing this? My contract is with Wickes. Phone their customer service, get them to sort it.
I'm sorry sir you need to talk to BVC!
I don't think so! Apparently, Wickes now have a dedicated team to sort out BVC problems, BUT, they have the same problems speaking to them also! BVC have 48hours to reply to each query raised!

48 hours later, and still waiting!
O' and I can't claim for compensation until I've had the full order delivered! How does that work then? No delivery is what I'm asking compensation for!

DO NOT BUY FROM BVC or the Walsall branch Best value Conservatories (who were Palladium)
  • And all complaining about the same company.Strange.
  • Magic, now managed to be on hold for 3/4 of an hour... thought i was going for the world record ... got through! Hurrah!

Fingers crossed.... apparently, they will call me tomorrow to confirm delivery. But on the plus side... I did get a direct dial number to save me holding next time!
  • Hi,

I'm also having loads of problems with BVC, I'm missing half of my roof and have had the same issues of 5 promised call backs not received and hours of waiting on the phone with no sensible results. Conservatory got delivered on 11th June.

I've now handed it back to Wickes to sort out. Spoke to someone today and was told they'd "put it on a spreadsheet to follow-up" which sounds to me like we're far from being the only ones with problems.

Not sure what to do now as the builders are nearly at the end of the build and can't start on the inside until I have a roof.

    Total Nighmare!
  • Well flip me..... Promised a delivery on Saturday and to call if it wasn't there by 1pm so they could sort it out!

Well, blow be down, it wasnt there by 1, so a phone call to Wickes... 'oh, I'm sorry, BVC dont work on Saturdays so we cant do anything until then!

They WHY offer me the service if you knew there was no point in offering it!

Well, now I've offered them an ultimatum, if its not delivered to store by Tuesday, I want a full refund. Checked with Mastercard and they will back me.

The goods delivered are 'not fit for purpose'
i.e. if I put it up, it would leak! (no roof) and I've given them a 'reasonable' amount of time to deliver the goods.

Well, Wickes Customer Services have been onto BVC and were told yes it was down for delivery but didn't go out! NO Shoot Sherlock! I think I worked that one out for myself!

Well another call made to see if the chimps at Wickes and BVC can work out where and when they are going to deliver my roof. O' sorry Mr taylor, BVC told us they were going to call you, haven't they? NO!

Has anyone EVER had a call from BVC?

    Well fingers crossed for Tuesday.

  • Well, another week, and still no roof parts!

Still no return calls for either company. Think I'll just give it up as a bad job and get my money back!

Dwayne, relax and put on an episode of red dwarf :-)

Dont know about BVC but I bought a B&Q conservatory about 8 years ago and it was one of the best things ive ever bought.

We had looked around and got all sorts of quotes ranging up to 10K, bought the B&Q one, victorian about 10 x 10 feet with french doors, it cost about £2K, and took an easter weekend to put up for 3 of us (would have been quicker but I rather take 2x as long and get it right).

When we sold the house about 2 years ago it was a really good selling point and the estate agent did not believe it wasnt brand new. Which made a mockery of the salesmen trying to sell us £10K conservatories saying the cheap ones turn yellow after a few years.

So, not too much help with BVC but my advice is dont be put off by cheap ones.

Oh, and im not a newbie poster jsut for this thread :-)
  • Still try to work out where I can get a chill pill from. The Red Dwarf's not working at the moment. I may have to change the bulb over from yellow to code red.!

Its now over a month since the first delivery, and still no roof.

They did deliver some to store, not on the day they said they would, and it was checked by the manager BEFORE I left home to pick it up. BUT, when I got there there were puncture holes in the cells of the polycarb and scratches all over. So well checked store manager!

My point is... I didn't have a choice to deal with BVC, I thought I was dealing Wickes, (silly Me!) As when you brought yours from B&Q, it was probably a Palladium product, which is now called BVC!

The product itself is very good, the fittings and quality are excellent, no complaints there. BUT, what good is a conservatory with no roof?

Still waiting for a return call... again!

Think I'll go off and watch an episode of Star Trek instead!
  • O' I'm a noob on here because I don't usually get mucked about and worked up about stuff like this, but this time its toooooooo far!
