Palladium B&Q conservatories

Hello

Has anyone ever bought a Palladium conservatory (also BVC Ltd)? As they are very cheap and currently have 15% off until today. Is £2400 including a base too cheap for a quality full length one? roughly 3x3m.

Been trying to decide for a month whether to risk buying as want a conservsatory and not much money to spend on one!

So anyone got one of these?

Take it nobody has bought one from B&Q (Palladium) then!

yes both conservatories companies sell low spec conservatories that do the job they were intended for for the low end of the market, we have an agrrement with bvc and can provide you a bvc conservatory if you so wish possibly better priced than a B & Q one palldium sell to B & Q bvc sell to the trade but you may be able to get a better speification one for not much more

I am back and the Palladium conservatory has £500 off it currently. So anyone ever bought a DIY consevatory? What are they like. As very tempted to extend house with one, but don't want to throw away £2500!!

Cheers upon researching it seems the one I am after was £2k in Jan/Feb which was after 20% off. Price now risen and only 15% off. I may be wrong but I am going to see if winter brings bigger discounts and if it goes up again look elsewhere!

is anyone else having a complete nightmare with missing parts from this company???
after several phone calls,letters i still have no joy and still no idea when parts will be with me,anyone know where i stand legally with this issue?

Yes I am having a nightmare with all concerned. Today they are supposed to be sending me the correct kit of the roof parts i am missing (this is their 3rd attempt) Apparently a wrong code was to blame!! Can't get BVC on phone, 3 hours spent on hold due to lines busy!
they never return calls. I won't recommend BVC to anyone. Wickes are trying to help but they held up with BVC/Pallidium. This has taken over 3 weeks since the original delivery & I still have only half a roof up with no panels in it! Builders still waiting to finish the job, but no parts have yet arrived!
Cannon the delivery people are no better either, the bloke don't know codes or what he was delivering, and expected a woman to help him unload it. the door frame also arrived broken & other parts were missing..... Whole thing a nightmare.......Don't buy!!! Be warned:mad:

I have also recently bought a bvc conservatory from Homebase. It was supposed to be delivered on the 2nd June but I am still waiting . The base is built, I had builders to finish the project but they have had to go to other jobs. Homebase have tried to help but I still don't have a delivery date and go on holiday next week!!! Do not buy from bvc.

We have been customers of BVC supplying their conservatories to the DIY market for a number of years. It was a well run company with an excellent product range until they took over a large conservatory manufacturer about 12 months ago. In that 12 months things have gone from very good to very bad, as has been documented in this forum missing parts and no solutions. Things have degraded to such an extent that they won't even answer the telephone, and when you do eventually get hold of somebody, despite promises, they don't get back to you and they won't even answer their email now. The upshot is that on Monday of this week, (16/06/2008) we decided we would no longer offer BVC products, we would rather lose sales than gain unhappy customers.
