Wow thats great! Well Done. I am not on that scale yet. My OH is unemployed so I am paying all the bills and right now £50 a month is manageable but I hope to sell a few items on Ebay/Gumtree this weekend so watch this space!0 -
Had a productive day yesterday, went into the bank yesterday to change my ISA I was earning 0.2% interest  and am now earning 2.75% :T
The best ISA rate is 3% variable so I am happy with that and not having to transfer my ISA is easier
On another note I am watching a movie a day for a month so am looking forward to my Lovefilm list goes down so I can eventually cancel it and OH can get a free trial0 -
Another productive day, put a few items on Ebay. There was a day when I hated listing stuff on Ebay but today I am addicted to it
So three items have gone on and one book I have put on Amazon for its Trade In scheme. I hope to get another one on tonight, so hopefully another £5 in the Xmas fund.
Out tonight we have a Firework display to celebrate the end of the Fringe, normally you would pay £12 each to enter the park but we have a date with either a pub on the streets to watch it0 -
I will try this one and we will see!0

Great let me know how you get on x0 -
A very successful day shopping wise. My clothing budget is £30 and I took a tour of the charity shops for clothes for work. I got 3 skirts all for under £10 :j
I am amazed how great value the skirts are, but I also needed trousers so that will my next weekend sorted. I also need new shoes but I have a M&S gift card for that.
Happy GRC :j0 -
Hi gothicrockchic!
I'd like to join you! Like you, I can only save a small amount each month as I am still working on clearing my debts at the same time.
So I'd like to save €5000 too! For me, I would like to achieve a lifelong dream and buy myself a horse and a (second-hand) horsebox next summer.
I currently have just over €2000 in my credit union account (secured against loans, so it can't be touched) and I reckon if I could bring it up to €7000 I could buy a very nice horse and a decent second-hand horsebox.
I will update my signature later on when I check how much I have in my savings pot for starting out.
Thanks for the thread! :A
It will be very slow and steady here, but a bit of motivation will go a long way towards achieving this dream!!
Well done on becoming debt-free! :TDebts: Credit Card: €6000 ---> €5050 Feb 25 \ Overdraft: Step 3/100
Savings: FF Fund: Step 23/100 \ CU: 3755/40000
