Its a very sad situation
OP the friends, friends can carry on claiming CHB and CTC for the fifteen year old mother and when the baby is born claim CTC and CHB for the baby.
Can the mother return to FTE then, if she does then the above will continue
The father should be receiving DLA in his own name he is over sixtenn, is he estranged from his parents ?
He can make a claim to ESA0 -
What's his disability?
Diagnosed 2 years ago with ,,,,, wait for it......ADHD. He turned 16 this week. Never did go to school and got no intention of continuing with education. HIm or the pregnant girlfriend. Bit of a mess to be honest with you.. On medication and also smokes that nasty stuff. His mother at the moment gets the benefits for him.:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0 -

The father is still living at home and got no intentions of moving in together when the baby is born. He has no idea on everyday life one little bit. It is really scarry the fact that they are having a baby together. Sorry yet again to say this, but on this occasion I personally think they should never have gone ahead with the baby.:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0 -
A very honest post,
I don't 100% agree with abortion, But I do believe that there are times when it might be best to go down the route ,
There are many gray areas and for/ageist arguments with abortion.
And maybe this might be one of them.
If Mum dose not feel she could go though and live with this (and some can not) Maybe adoption might be a good idea?
Mum need all the facts and all the help and advice she can get.
Maybe, Social services, her doctor and her midwife could all sit down with her and a adult that she trusts and is capable of having her and her unborn baby's best wishes at hart. Have many chats, time thinking and work out some sort of game plan. What ever that will be.
I know that all this is easier said than done. But If Mum decides to have the baby and keep it. She is going to need a hell of a lot of help. And if dad is not up to the task then there needs to be somebody in her life some were that will be willy to do this. With the help of doctors, midwife and all the services that are there to support Mum and Baby.
All that said and Done, I really do hope that something can be worked out for the best of all In involved here.
Whats is to be done for the best? Well I don't know all the facts so I can not say.
But I hope that things work out well.
Thankyou for you post.
In short, I have listed the situation.
Father of the baby got ADHD, on medication.
His parents, are huge drinkers and also on medication for severe depression
Never did go to school
Girlfriend actually stayed there alot and SLEPT together, so they can never point the finger
Pregnant girls mother has just gone into women refuge waiting to be re-housed.
I could go on and on but sadly not good is it...:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0 -
Adoption really seems like a good outcome for all concerned.
I'd favour this every time over an abortion.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
Given that having sex with a 15 year old is a crime has anyone considered contacting the police ?0

What a sad story

Hopefully, SS will become involved at a very early stage, and it may just be possible that baby will be taken into care and adopted early. I do hope so.0 -

Todate they are going ahead with the baby and also keeping it.
Me personally would have reported but between all of them they have no sense.:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0 -
It sounds as if no one is capable of caring for the baby and the situation should be reported to Social Services.0
