Holiday Pay confused!

If you have not taken holiday what is the holiday pay for?I have had no days off that I have got payed Holiday pay for?
Last Month was 42.72 Holiday Hours at £1. so I got £42.72 Holiday Pay for that Month.
Is my wage slip meant to say how many hours in total I have work this holiday year?
Have you really taken 42.72 hours holiday leave?
This really does not make sense to me or anyone else come to think of it.
Have you asked your employer what the £1 is for per holiday hour?0 -

You asking me questions I don't know the answers to, when I asked my Employer what the £1 was they said, it's your Holiday rate.
This is why I asked on this forum, because it didn't seam right to me and I didn't know who to ask.0 -

If this is not a wind up ask them why you have been paid £1 per hour for holiday?
Surely you have asked them this like you say and they said yiur pay rate for holiday is £1 and you siad what? nothing?

Curiosity got the better of me and ive reread the op's posts. I think what is happening is that the employer is paying the holiday pay as it is earned, this is called rolled up holiday pay and is now illegal. I think this is where the £1 holday pay comes for as its roughly 12% of the op's hourly rate of £8ish.
Rolled-up holiday pay
Holiday pay should be paid for the time when you actually take your holiday. Your employer cannot include an amount for holiday pay in your hourly rate (called 'rolled-up holiday pay'). If your current contract still includes rolled-up pay, you and your employer should renegotiate it.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0 -

few bits of information ar missing
What holiday do full timers get? (include all holidays regular and bank holidays)
What is your hourly rate? is it the same for all hours?
What is the contractual(this does not have to writen) agreement on which hours/days weeks you work.
Any fixed hours day. when asked, do you have a minimum/maximum,
can you say no to any work offered?
How often do you have no work for week or more?
howa re you paid,, does employer deduct TAx and NI, do you have tax reference no's

Rolled up holiday pay is not illegal in some circumstances.
A recuring casual contract would have holiday pay rolled up for each pay period.
NHS are happy to roll up holiday pay.
need to get the holiday entitlement correct and any rate of pay.
For part timers is often make little difference how it is paid as long as they don't work too many days/weeks
£1 holiday pay per hour for statutory holidays is based on an hourly rate of 828.5p so around £8.290 -
