Thats odd that they closed it after 101 signatures as there are some on that website when i had a very brief look that have 1000 signatures, one even has over 55,000, and another over 300,000.0

Hi! Smiley19
Glad to hear you achieved what you wanted and that this forum helped you .
I think it might be worth an email or phone call to Ofcom to register your disapproval at being mis sold your contract.
My reasoning is twofold:
1. It makes Ofcom aware of the numbers involved, and may persuade
Them to refer the case to The Office Of Fair Trading.
2. If that happens, and a prosecution for Misselling is proved your
Ofcom Ref. Number will be useful in any claim for compensation0 -

And done. I think 2 is unlikely in my case as it really was a painless process - assuming all goes smoothly and I'm not disconnected anyway!
Unless I can claim compensation for listening to their awful 'On Hold' music, then my only inconvenience was a 20 minute phone call - I can live with that.
But happy to add myself to Ofcom's list of the numbers affected, especially if that's going to help others to build a case.0 -

its going to go viral soon....well my case officer in executive office has basically told me to bigger off "I'm not dealing with broadband any more so that is that" unless have now complained to Ofcom again about how they are handling complaints and not getting anything sorted. I was told I could keep my free broadband but wanted email confirmation which has never arrived...however I've had 2 emails saying to call them before they cut me off with 2 different dates. there simply incompetent.0 -

Well, Orange broadband was working fine, [if slow] all day up until around an hour ago.
Once again, we enter the 'peak time' of the day and suddenly find we have insufficent broadband to watch youtube vids, or BBC iplayer.......
Orange's answer to this?
They take you through their automated waste of time phone call, with the usual factory resets etc, then tell you, you need to try a WIRED connection.......
Even though I pay them for a WIRELESS service, a WIRELESS livebox router, and have bought two WIRELESS adaptors from them.
A law unto themselves, and Ofcom exist to protect their thievery.
Happens every damned day.
