Dont seem to have achieved very much, but have been busy. Unfortunately shopping with DH is a nightmare, he is sooooo slow. Have had 2 loads of washing done and have been through all 3 freezers and made a list of the contents as I intend to do as little as possible in the way of shopping and cooking this holiday. There will be list of frozen portions that everyone can choose from. DH is currently have a holiday pint over the road then we have some mexican chicken whoopsies to look forward to.

Give Moomin a big hug for being a brave girl and juliejim have a hug too.

Off to do something from the list this time
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!
  • Hi to everyone - just a quick post from me; I never got chance this morning as I had to dash off to work, but was quite busy.

I managed to: do breakfasts for us, cat and wild birds; make a curry and put in slow-cooker (going to eat it soon, it smells yummy!); sort out a pile of paperwork and make 4 appointments; tidy drawers and stationery basket; tidy and dust both bedrooms; clean kitchen and S&S bathroom. Lounge is not too bad, but tomorrow morning I intend to dust lounge and mop kitchen and conservatory floors - then shopping for sick friend.

I am SO tired though; it was very busy at work and I think I'm still only just over that chest infection, and the heat and travel, although the holiday was good. I've also got all the holiday clothes washed and ironed, so am pleased about that.

And OH? Well, he lost an electrical item that has taken him three days to find, sorted the DW and half-done the garden! In three days!!
He has done lunches each day, so that's something.

Good wishes to everyone and good health vibes to all those feeling poorly, including the little piggy! R x :)

Today is my sisters birthday.. and I have been waiting on a call all day to say they are going out for dinner as is the norm... no call.. so I assumed with my stepdads heart attack and surgery they had decided not to go..

our other sister has just posted on fb she is at a local pub with birthday sis, her OH and parents... I wasn't even asked if I wanted to go or not.. I am really irritated so I commented 'I probably wouldn't have come but it would have been nice to be asked at least!'... I know I am insignificant and only here for everyone elses convenience but this has pee'd me off.. I wouldn't have any kind of do without inviting them at least.. maybe in future I will!!!!

    Why are families so $h!t!!!??

Done nothing. Worked until had to collect kiddies, so no sneaking home alone for an hour to get jobs done!

Having said that, because they are at nursery mon-wed we don't really get messy until Thursday's here, so just a bit of picking up.

I did sweep all downstairs on mon with kitchen so lr floor clean.

Definitely feeling cooler tonight, I have just put some socks on! Brrr.

Tomorrow is my day off. Will deposit tots at nursery, go to wilco and home bargains, then climb up into loft to do a bit of organising. Step dad insulated and put proper ladder in last winter, so there's not too much gibble up there. Just need to make sure the stuff I've kept of dh's is labelled and stored properly, plus my wedding dress. Then am going through Xmas decs.

Tomorrow is the nursery annual "waddle toddle" where they do a sponsored walk. The charity of the year is the hospice, so hopefully they will raise some money for them. I thought of volunteering, but it's a bit emotional, as DH did it last year with them. It was about the time when we were getting worried about his symptoms. Everything is leading up to the anniversary now, I can feel it like a bad storm approaching.

ETA pp that's awful, just plain mean not inviting you x

Thanks for the advice about daughter going into school on crutches. I'm going to phone them Thursday (GCSE results day so someone will be around to answer the phone ;)) and see if I can go up with DD on Tuesday when they have the summer school starting and speak to her head of year or whoever since we missed the new intake day/evening due to her not being well.

Been busy today, labels are ordered (two different colours - black with gold writing and white with black writing) and they're going to be about 5-7 working days :o Looks like I'll be stitching labels in next Saturday/Sunday :o DD has had her first hydrotherapy session and loved it. Then she WALKED home on her crutches from the hospital stopping in any bus stops with seats and taking her time. I'm really impressed as it means she's walked over 3 miles today! She's fine though, not complaining at all :D Tomorrow I need to cut her fringe, bath her and then take her for passport photos and get the bus pass form handed in. Although I'll have to buy her (and me!) a pass for next weeks summer school anyway, so I won't mind if I have to buy her one the first week or two of term either.

I'm now off to put her down the bed and watch holby then go to bed. I'm shattered :o

Pigpen I feel your pain re families!

JulieJim tissues for your tears and kind thoughts sent your way

    Bossymoo thinking of you too.

Minimal flying today DW unloaded and reloaded. Worktops wiped. Kids swimming gear washed (they are swimming every day this week).

I leave work tomorrow, I think. I've checked online and they haven't fulfilled many employment rights so I might visit the CRB on Thursday and air my grievances. If they say I have a case I will take it up. I've been thoroughly used and it stinks.
