    Afternoon all

Hope everyone is well. I haven't even looked at the thread for a week and a half but I'm back in now with a vengeance! Have just about caught up on washing from our holiday but that's about it and the house is a disgrace - piles of clean washing, waterproofs, camping stuff, etc all over the house and far too many signs that the kids have been at home for a month! I've got 2 weeks to get it back in order and regain some sanity before it's back to work

Going to start now with a HHC or 2 if anyone wants to join me and see if I can knock anything off the lists...

Monday - Kitchen & Dining Room

    Happy birthday Julie Jim.

Despite tyring to have a few days off over the weekend, some flying did get done, and yesterday I managed to find a permanent home for three sorted boxes of gibble from the room of doom! I also cleared most of the filing and am off to the CS with several bits and pieces that got sorted from the dross I feel the need to keep, but at least that's eight items out of the house for good. The room of doom is beginning to show signs that eventually the stuff can be sorted.

OH has agreed to help move and help with the things in the sitting room that I can't do on my own, but as he only got back late last night, it won't be today. On that basis, I'm not doing going anywhere near it, because it has been dusted and vaccuumed every week for the past five weeks and while he's been away I haven't been using it. It'll have to do because I'm too tired after yesterday's exertions.
    Better is good enough.

Thank you for your advice, pigpen - the freezer seems fine now. I turned it on just before lunch and when we got back 20 minutes ago it had reached the correct temperature. Time to portion up all the cooked goodies and get them frozen. :D

Nice to 'see' you, kazmeister. Hope you'll manage to have a bit of a holiday, too.

Hugs all poorly people, including piggies, and 'shooo' to FFP's BD.

Going to toddle into the kitchen to get tea started and then I really should do list stuff. DH did a massive ironing session last night and it's all stacked up in the living room, ready to be put away.

    I'm back!

Erm thanks for the birthday wishes but it's not my birthday it's lil-me's!

Feel pretty shattered now from crying but seeing as DH has gone for a lie down I can't!

I might do some Scouting paperwork as then I don't have to move.

2 back-to-back HHCs done and the difference is amazing - it almost looks like a house again! :D
Most of that time was spent clearing the floors and dining table and rehoming piles of holiday stuff but I also managed to hoover throughout downstairs plus the stairs and landing and whiz round with the feather duster. So barring mopping the kitchen - which is probably best left until after dinner! - I think that's level 2s achieved for both days :T

Going to sort dinner now and then try and have half an hour reading through and catching up on the thread.
