Can I pay in this cheque?

Thanks for the advice everyone. The cheque I forgot to say is for £100. I'm going to give it a go at the bank tomorrow, will hand it over without pointing it out and if they notice, produce ID for both myself and husband, maybe even marriage certificate, to see if that helps convince them! Otherwise may try crossing out the 's' in Mrs and pay into husband's account. Will update when I have tried this! Thanks again0

If your husband also banks with the same bank then I don't see any problems.
If not, unless a staff member knows you it might be rejected.0 -
If there was a letter with the cheque, take that along too.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

That all sounds sensible up until the point where you consider fraudulently altering a cheque that your bank has already rejected... I would recommend not doing that!0 -
Present the cheque, bet they won't even notice.0
