  • Ho hum.... As someone who most of the time doesn't have the time to keep up on this thread I will appear as an outsider/lurker whatever. I agree with your basic thinking (not ripping the p out of glitches) and I find it quite unusual to have a thread on MSE which doesn't result in slagging each other off.

I work long shifts, finished yesterday and back tomorrow, and have really struggled to do other things and keep up to track with this. I don't know how you guys do it unless you spend most of the day at your PC's?! I haven't got the time to wade through 50 pages after a 10 hour shift because by the end I would have another 20 to read etc.... So what I am saying is it isn't through lack of interest/unfriendliness/lurking I don't post, it is just lack of time.

Today I feel I have achieved very little as about two hours I have simply spent catching up and some of last nights pages I just had to skip.

So, having said that.... I don't want to judge anyone here at all, but please guys don't slate the 'newbies'. It just makes you look cliquey and unwelcoming. As I said, rare that I had time to come in here in the last 24 hours and I have posted two shops. I got £23-24 APG (two of them) on £35-40 shops. I don't see that is much different to £10 APG on a £15 shop.

Some of you say about keeping below the radar etc whilst buying one carrot and one potato and buying 8 items. To me that is more over the radar than a big shop with a big APG.

I take on board big APG's get noticed, but so do people buying one mushroom!

There is a lot of judging going on here, I really honestly don't want to slate any of you individually as I don't know many of you guys, but its not nice to judge and slate someone like this, especially when they apologised.

The system allows taking the P, and getting free goods, and most of you I bet have stashes of wine, ketchup, beans, what have you? If you really think going back and forth doing £10 shops with your one carrot and one mushroom, generating £10 vouchers is below the radar then think on.

I used to get very annoyed about those people, in Tesco refund and replace days, buying several TV's etc and reselling them, but this will always go on. APG will get capped, whatever secret groups there are and however you try and take advantage of it. The poster above and myself have agreed we need to scale it back a bit but you still won't find me buying one carrot.....

Live and let live guys. Whilst I am here, before I am back to work and you leave standing with pages and pages of chat and glitches, I would just like to say thank you all for the help and advice I have had from you in the last day or so, and I hope to dip in occasionally to say hello. Good health and happy hunting to you all.
If I had a pound for every pound I'd lost, I'd be confused

Wine still working for me but not getting too much as don't like the large apg's
Im a newbie to this thread but not a newbie to MSE & I firmly believe in slowly, slowly when doing anything like this. Much better to keep it small & not be looking over your shoulder all the time.
Managed to get a tin of beans today, let's hope they taste as good as they look :-)

Ive got 1 tin of beans with each shop.;)

I dont want to get into any arguements with anyone, and I hope this post hasnt offended anyone :)
I am sorry to hear you were trouted. It is not on. The store manager may have whatever rights he/she wants, but I have it on good authority;) that if I have a problem, I ring up and the store will be educated. Going forward, I agree, and I did the same this morning removing quantities.

The whiter than white bit - A number of posters have a holier-than-thou attitude. It won't change, it's the nature of people. They can pretend that they are doing the right thing but ultimately it is the total cost of a promotion that will remove it, not 1 target shop.

It might be argued that the terms effectively allow the store discretion in whether or not to accept individual APGs.
Ask them what is false or fraudulent. You are not obtaining goods by deception (again, on good authority).

A great saying, and considering 95% of this thread are boulder chuckers of "elite" proportions.

Nah, leave it.. its a glitch, make the most of it i say, if A$da has no cap on each price promise then take it for what you can, it just boils down to having the b**ls to use it.
+1! Enjoy your rightfully earnt voucher.
I agree you do have to have some nerve to use such a large APG but he may not have the chance to use it if Mr A confiscate it from him. That's the risk he's taking.
Reprint the voucher if confiscated. They may not take the receipt as it is legally his property.

Think my OH PM's you, James, but I will reiterate. Calm down, spend it with a non-trout SA, get more wine and TK if you like. Mine looked at me funny too, but that is their problem. If you are concerned, simply leave and shop elsewhere. You may call CS but this will raise the profile.

Unfortunately was quietly thinking to myself that the postings on Hukd would be a slippery slope to the demise of APG
You, me, and everyone else on this thread with any sense know exactly what the demise of the APG will have come from; the demise of DTD. ASDA always had these problems. The use a third party. The reason we now see them (their policy has been going as long as Tesco's) is because we are all actively hunting them because we can no longer take advantage (to the extent we could) of DTD and JTD.

When this finishes, we will be on to the next store. And so the Elite will continue with its savvy shopping and holier-than-thou attitude.

Have a great day, everyone :A

Had to edit my post to add this that appeared. How accurate could you be?! A massive +1 to all you said.
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

Speaking of beans, has anyone used the 5 beans coupon today (with the November date)? It's just that the other one finished yesterday, so it crossed my mind the other one might have been blocked. Thanks IA

I've used the November one today. No problems. I will only use one voucher though every now and then as it could run for a while yet and I don't want to bite the hand that feeds me:)

I've kept my gob shut so far....but am going to add my opinion for what its worth....

I got trouted to an epic level ....didnt do anything wrong other than do a targetted shop resulting in £27 APG...I wont go into details but I was made to feel like a criminal.

The store manager has the right to refuse to accept any APG (they refused mine), and if it becomes apparent you are targetting the shop (be it once or a million times - mine was 2nd shop), they can and most likely will refuse. They can also ban you from the store without so much as a reason why.

No one wants APG or even the dreaded PP to end, or become more difficult to obtain, so my suggestion would be to keep ones actions to oneself ;)

After what happened to me, I am occasionally watched, and I choose to shop at alternative As to generate and use my APGs (which I dont do over £10 now). I wouldnt want to give them further reason to interrrogate me or worse, ban me.

Some might remember I got banned from a specific Ts store last year - for 'actively seeking DTD'.....despite not even paying for my goods let alone claiming DTD on them! This was purely down to claiming a DTD 2 weeks previous that the manager didnt want to give.

My point is, theres lots of staff who have the authority to make these decisions - whether they're right or wrong in our eyes - but inevitably they end up having the last laugh, be it refusing a PP/APG or giving a store ban.

As well as stash photos, I think the use of APG/PP details posted on here will also give the companies cause to consider their policies. Whilst its nice to share what compares etc, it might be an idea to just post the details in written form, rather than copying across the APG/PP image. The poster only needs to put that ketchup compared at £3 against 19p rather than showing they bought 10 bottles iyswim?

Going forward, I think it would be wiser not to share details of quantities bought. This wont stop some people over-doing it, but at least the thread wont be seen to be 'promoting' it.

I'm not whiter than white, and certainly stock up on specific items/glitches etc.....but I've learned on here its usually safer to keep schtum :D I dont like to spend hours catching up on arguments (it gets me excited when I see tons of pages - I think I've missed a glitch :rotfl::rotfl:).....so rather than people be vilified for ripping the a$$ out of whichever system, it would probably be easier if they just said 'glitch still working' or 'I got the ketchup' ..... that way we dont get through a thread quicker than a bottle of Tommy K, no one gets attacked......and hopefully it may minimise the extent to which people attack the system, thus allowing it to stay around for a long time :D

I dont want to get into any arguements with anyone, and I hope this post hasnt offended anyone :)

    Brilliant post :T

I look forward to be trouted, asda and tesco have a 10 per item limit per transaction. Maybe silly to post about it but your not breaking any laws just taking advantage. My highest apg was £41.77 and i had a few now. Not once have i been trouted or abused at. The sa asked me how i got it and in a polite way i said asda match tescos price etc. if i was to get a £80 apg i would use it. I do now keep then under £15 as i think thats a good idea as others have said.

I bought 4 bottles today in a store and they had over 200 bottles and went back and 2 left. Its being used a lot now but i thank all people that help.

But if someone wants to get 5 or 500 as long as its not being wasted good you. Im going to donate 500 tins of beans to my local foodbank. I suggest others do and a few bottles of the red stuff to
