I did mine with me real and mse accounts. ;)

I've often thought of setting up a second account, then I think of the hassle of logging in and out constantly.

No, the housing assoc will do that flooring :D I want flooring for sitting room, bedroom and hall. I dont want carpet due to my asthma and to make it easier to clean, especially wwith the doggies, so it's a choice betwween laminate and cushionfloor vinyl. Going for the heavier weight cushionflooring, but not rushing into deciding wwhich sort. I would like it done soon, but just getting an idea of cost at the moment ;)

Oh, thanks Kadison, and Nikkilala too I see, I will try that next time :T :T

We had marmoleum fitted by John Lewis in our old house. We had it in the kitchen/diner. Very easy to keep clean. Much cheaper than amtico and looked as good. Don't go for a cheap make or the scratches will go through the top layer and be impossible to remove. Needs to be fitted by professionals or it won't look right.

  • I'm playing catch up atm but one tip that was given to me years ago that might help all the peeps who struggle to open jars is to tap the edge of the jar lid on a hard surface (I usually use the floor as its quarry tiles) and for some reason it helps. I have done this on many occasions when the dratted lid wouldn't move even for OH - think it might be something to do with an airlock - hth and sorry if its duplicated.

    Back to catching up:T

  • Any ex smokers on the thread?

I havn't had a cig since Sunday night, feel really determined to quit for good, but..

If anyone could advise me how to not eat everything in sight I would be really grateful!

Good for you SS - keep up the good work, it will def be worth it. I found that occupying myself with doing something with my hands - preferably involving painting, decorating, cooking or whatever helped me. And as the Nurse at my GP's told me its far healthier to put on a few pounds and lose it later. Good luck x

I google foodbank, not sure if this link will work but anyway there is a location map with a long list of foodbanks and ones under development.

    https://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?oe=UTF-8&hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=111130270486075675880.00048aa53ae68ca28799a&z=6

    Morning all
Thanks for this mhoc, I thought I had heard we had a local food bank being set up and the map confirmed this, though as I said before my donations go to the local xmas hamper fund at the minute, but good to know there will soon be another option for my freebies....I love being able to give a little back, especially since finding you all, its made it so much easier :T
