If it is non freezer or chill food it doesn't bother me. But buying clothes that may have been returned by a customer freaks me out.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Jeez .... I'm fed up with all the ethical/non ethical arguments ! All I can say is, I would certainly give it a try. I'll put my helmet and flak suit on now.
re the John frieda issue - difficult one.
Ideally the girl at CS would want to see the 2 JFs you bought and then do a return on the 2 John Friedas. Then she would put three through the till. So if you have 2 John Friedas that match the barcodes on the receipt and can show the girl these then that is OK.
So its a case of identifying what is on the receipt via the barcodes. If you can do this and have the right JFs in your shampoo stockpile to take then its worth doing.
If you do have the right 2 JFs in your stockpile you might ask the CS girl to do a straight refund or to give you a gift card so you could buy them again with your next shop.
Also is it a cash transaction - might make it easier.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
I dont buy stuff in bulk unless i know i will use it.
Personally i like the beans but don't partake in beer spirits or wine because it would never get drank even if it was free or took money off my shopping.0 -

Whats this about ketchup please ?
Was on M1 today, watching a fire crew using the jaws of life to cut the roof off a car to free the driver, so please take it easy on the roads people.
Too late, had someone smash in the side of me this morning, said he never saw me:eek:, sent me sideways down the road and i drive a big sandwich van. But he was driving some big ford thing, bright yellow which is all over my van now, along with the dents:(. But like a trooper carried on with my round, a little shakey but thats all.0 -

I bought 3 bottles of an offer wine, tried it and it was corked  The taste was vile so we poured what was left in the glasses back into the bottle, put some foil on the top. So we took them back to sainsburys where they came from and asked if we could swap all 3 for different wines altogether as this had put us off. This was no problem but it was obvious only one glass had gone out of the opened bottle and we had the receipt (a clean one)
So in theory you could actually swap wine you dont like for another wine on the 3 for £10 offer
Every Asda I go into has the most lovely staff but even so I avoid going to CS unless I have a good enough problem“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. For those who don't like the beans too much try them in a chilli or pork casserole or fry up a little chorizo and rice. It's a chance to be inventive.:)To do is to be. Rousseau

DS had a nice first day at High School. They done a quick test then had some time to get to know the other boys. While they were doing that the parents were getting a talk by the senior staff who would be dealing with the boys then had some tea and scones.
To end the 2 hours they were there the boys got their photo taken, all 100 odd of them, along with the principal, his 2 deputies and the head of year 8, outside the main school entrance.
It just reminded me of getting my 5th form class photo taken outside my high school, which just happens to be down the hill from DSes school.SPC #329 £471/£500 banked
