Morning all. Pegged the washing out by 7, watered the garden, finished off my ironing pile from last week and chopped up veges for later.

Hubby got 4 numbers on lotto last night and said (he had had a few beers) oh, it wont be much (he was right), whatever it is you can have it. Anyway it is £76 so I am off shortly to buy the £45 shoes I talked myself out of buying yesterday and of course, I will 'need' something to go with the shoes :D

Will treat him though - he can have rump steak for tea (from the Lidl weekend specials last week) :rotfl:

Aww well done to him :T

Actually managed to get a little bit of sleep last night. Which makes a lovely change. The previous night only managed about 1 - 2 hours and I was almost literally a crying wreck all day.

Getting some more washing done this morning (and dry from the looks of the weather). Perhaps a bit of evil ironing too. And this afternoon its off to family.

Aww I'm sorry to here you were feeling down. I hope your feeling much better :)

I have just found out that, if you are registered with Kenco, they email you a coupon for a free bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk - and it prints twice.

Also, went in early to Asda looking for the cheap Plenty mentioned yesterday. Normal aisle had 2's, 4' and 6's at varying prices but on the bottom shelf was a tiny yellow SEL (had to go down on hands and knees to read it) which said 8's with £4 crossed out and £2 on it. However, all the packs above the sign were 6's so I thought they'd all gone. But down on an end display was a huge ile of Plenty with a big £4 SEL - and, from where I was standing, the packs looked bigger. Sure enough they were the 8's so I picked up 4 packs.

On my way back up the aisle I saw a young man with a trolley of stuff looking at the Plenty packs. He picked up a 6 pack with a £4 SEL so I pointed out the tiny yellow label and the big pile at the end of the store and explained the glitch. He was a bit worried that the price would be higher so said he would follow me through the checkout with just 1 pack.. Obviously it worked and he was last seen heading back for another 4 packs. He was very pleased and I was glad I'd spoken to him - sometimes you get looked at as though you are just an interfering, daft old biddy and it puts you off a bit.

Thanks for the head up on kendo :T
I must go look for the plenty pack. Been really busy though, but I'm running out so really should get it whilst it's cheap cheap :)

Aww that was really kind of you. I always think twice about pointing something out to people also. As some people stick their noses up at you as if your beneath them. This really angers me as your only trying to help them save money. Can't please everyone I guess :D

Hope it all gets sorted for you :)

Thank you Leslie. I think it will be OK - just got off the phone to Tesco Credit Card people and they say that only one transaction has been processed. It would be a great bonus if the 2 Quidco cash backs (£60.xxx odd each) both went through!

However, for older travellers, it might be worth bearing Flexicover in mind - they are listed on Quidco with a 15% cashback and there is currently a 10% off code there as well. Up until my DH hit 80, he was covered by his bank insurance (and I still am covered). Since then we have been paying out for single trip insurance and, as I am keen to take as many trips as we can while we are both able to cope with flights, long haul etc, its been getting expensive (our 3 weeks in Sri Kanka in June cost around £200 for DH's insurance). An annual policy for £480 which covers him Worldwide inc. USA and prostate cancer has to be a bargain - especially with £60.xx odd cashback!

this fella was looking lonely last night in a's. he was only 10p so we had no choice but to offer him a home. he was not out of date (25 aug) but he only has 1 ear and one foot. i thought he would fit in well in our home with my 8 toes.:D he wont last until the 25th though, i may have to eat his other ear to balance him up though
