    10p items and wine!!! :eek::eek::eek:

    So you will hve 2 APGs of about £7 against receipts showing a £10 spend

    I would expect to be trouted when you go to use the APG or at least have your card marked by your store :(

    I can see the sense in what you are saying but I have found that it is only on very rare occasions that the CA actually checks whats on the receipt or its value. They usually just check the validity date on the coupon and the receipt details - time, store, transaction etc - and then scribble on it before giving it back to me. I did do a bit of a daft thing yesterday though when I bought some red wine and chocoalte and used an APG and receipt that had rose wine on it. The CA was unfortunately one of those rare ones that went through the whole thing in detail and I had a nasty moment - but then he just said he couldn't believe that Tesco must have been so much cheaper on the wine.

    I have currently got one APG in the upper teens of £'s but will use that one in a few weeks when I get back from holiday and probably in a different store. My others are all <£10 which I feel much more comfortable with.

    My only slight worry is that I am going on holiday and, as these all have long expiry dates, I was planning on saving them for use in mid September. I am a shade concerned that Asda may suddenly change the rules - but I assume that they woud still have to honour any existing coupons.

    The apg you have just quoted was only for £5 or so, we did ask the op to post the details late last night so we could see where he/she went wrong.

    Apg's over £10 don't need a supervisor to authorise, at least they don't in the store I go to.
    Apg's over a tenner just need the SA to input the amount manually. They shouldn't need a supervisors intervention. I too think it's best to try and split the shop where possible. Just means you end up with lots more carrots and bananas etc. to make up the eight comparing items :)

    The apg is for the chocs not the wine so can I return the wine and use the apg thanks

    Presumably your apg is made up in part of choccies. Might not have been the £2.38 per 2 bags you were hoping for but even comparing at correct price T is cheaper so you would have still had a return on them

    That being the case you should not be returning them :(
