Are transfers included? as the only way to get to and from the airport is official taxis at a cost of about £20/£25:eek:
Without the guidebook I'd never have found the statue of John Lennon sitting on a bench in a park, or the bust of Lenin at a Soviet Museum (closed, but I climbed over the fences;))
Bank cards don't work over there, take cash and change it at the airport.
Everyday things we take for granted (soap, deodorant, sanitary towels etc etc) are either hard to come by or out of reach cost with with ordinary cubans so my guide book suggests these as gifts for housekeeping staff etc etc.
Transfers are included - not cheap but thought we had best sort that out.
Taking cash, though not expecting to need much (taking plenty). Will take the tip of taking things like soap for housekeeping staff etc - thanks for that.
Might actually see if I can break my own rule and pick up a guide book - time so short so better that way than depend on the postie! Never booked this late before!What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I hope for westies sake he gets his headphones.
Ooooh! I got them!:beer::beer:
I got a secondhand pair from the local https://www.webuy.com shop that newly opened up. I paid £145 for them. I tested them fully and they work perfectly. They are so good if you crank the volume up you can hear the defects in the original recording.:eek::eek:
I had £160 worth of vouchers for that shop that I had been saving up by selling them my DVD's when I had finished them so I've saved £200 technically, all the more money for Duty Free (Westie knows I can't resist a few litres of spirits from the DF shop:beer:)0
