Porkies are in. Mine was capped from 15 quid down to a tenner. I did have a conditional spend that needed using which is why I did a slightly bigger shop than needed. In hindsight I should have bought more beans innstead but wasn't surre if the local small T's would actually stock them.

Now then....what to spend the porky on??? LOL....me thinks rinse and repeat is in order ;)

popped in to boots, bought so star 50ml at 3.93 got 500 points so my daughter chose hannah montanah, used points so free for hers !:D
the ladies in there didnt know it worked on the cheaper perfumes as well, so started choosing some for themselves

Are you sure you got points??? I'm only an occasional Boots shopper so I may be incorrect, but I thought you couldn't SPEND and GAIN points in the same transaction?

Funny you should say this, I bought some T's own brand batteries for my smoke alarm a couple of weeks ago - within 1 day the blasted thing was beeping again as if the battery was dead.

This morning was amusing though, it was beeping again - now there's no battery in there (it's connected to mains) so I was thinking why the heck is it beeping? Half an hour of faffing about later I'm thinking this sound sounds like it's coming from upstairs - only then did I look up and realise that we have a smoke alarm upstairs too!! Only lived there 3 years and never noticed! :rotfl:
Anyway, we'll see how long this T's battery lasts.....

If you put your tongue on the end of the battery if it tingles the battery is ok, if nothing happens its duff;)

I'm not falling for that one. Shall I send it to you for testing?:rotfl:

Mummy, you never replied when I asked of DS can take me to one of his formal meals in my scruffy clothes.:rotfl:

It clearly says on our mains powered ones that they won't work without a battery in them....

I was being serious, it does work my dad taught me how to do it;)It doesnt hurt, I always do it because I'm lethal for having loose batteries in my office drawer.
Unfortunately DS declined your offer of dinner and I'm not going to argue as he has now announced he's taking up fencing at uni:eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

That's interesting. I tried all the smaller 'So?' range instore as the branch didn't stock the large - they were all half price (£2-£4) but SA said the till indicated no bonus points, so I didn't buy!

Maybe I shouldn't have listened to her!

think its only on selected 50 mls, the girls in our store are lovely, they try all the glitches for me first to see if they work, and dont moan if i decide not to buy!

Yes that's my belief also. I was told this last Christmas when I was going to pay with points.

Ours doesn't say that but I suppose I should check that the one minus the battery still works... Hmm... What can I set fire too... :rotfl:
