congratulations an9i and anyone else with a BFP I haven't congratulated.
afm, feeling pretty sorry for myself. The horrible cold I had turned into a nasty sinus infection and my head hurts which means I haven't been to the gym for over 2 weeks. Have made an attempt at eating better and moving about more but when I stood on the scales I was almost half a stone heavier. I'm CD13 and no sign of fertile cm. As I normally get it for a week before ov, guessing I'm either oving late (possibly good because of DH's trip) or not at all this month (starting to think my body doesn't like January/February). DH has discovered a new game so is wrapped up in that, and Andy Murray's expression is making me want to cry for him. I think I might be broken.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Hi all
Haven't been able to catch up for a week or so due to never getting a minute to myself without people peering over my shoulder! So I have quite a bit of reading to catch up on.
Congratulations an9i77, how lovely that it was a bit of a surprise! I'm sure you'll be fine despite having had a week drinky, so many people don't find out they're pregnant for weeks or months and have been drinking away and go on to have healthy babies.
Amy, thanks for sharing that story, it's lovely and gives us all a bit of hope.
I am currently on CD5. It wasn't too much of a surprise when CD1 arrived but my periods are getting worse and worse (sorry if this is TMI but for several days this month every time I sat down it felt like I was sitting on a sharp knife), I'm now suspecting endometriosis and have made an appointment with the doctor for next Friday. I know we've been BDing at the right times for the last five months so am wondering if this might be what's stopping anything from happening.
We have had kind of a sad few days, my lovely friend who has been TTC for a very long time finally had her first cycle of IVF and found out on Friday that it didn't workI was devastated for her. She will be trying again though so fingers crossed for next time but that doesn't make it any easier. I took her for a girly day out shopping yesterday to try and cheer her up a bit and then we had a few much needed glasses of wine.
My diet & exercise routine has gone to pot this last week or two, mostly because of period pain but also because I just couldn't get to the gym due to the snow. I have much better intentions for next week.
Hugs to all the CD1 people and big hugs to Code, hope you feel better soon x0 -
Lots of love codemonkey, it may be the illness is stopping Ov so hopefully it's just delaying itself til you're better.
Wrap up warm, lots of fluids and take good care of yourself, hope you're much better soon x x
Amy thank you for that story, gives me a lot of hope that one day I'll be the overly smug New mum with a very spoilt babyx x
Angel I'm sorry for your friend, it must be tough and she's luck to have a friend like you
Hope the doc can help you, at least with the pain, doesn't sound fun
Congratulations to ani, was this your third month of Clomid? I'm sure all will be fine and you'll have an uneventful with eight monthsx x

Quick Q - do you test with or without DH?
(Obviously I mean look at the test - testing with them would just be weird :P)First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -

without. Always, always without. I used to do a lot of ics and DH would think I'd lost the head completely if he knew. I don't even tell him I'm testing and I hide the wrappers. I think if I get a positive test I will buy a digi and test with him without telling him I already know iyswim?
Yes, I know I'm a weirdo but with our track record I don't see why both of us need to be disappointed.
Angel sorry about your friend. It's a sad thing that IVF success rates arent much higher than trying naturally. It must be so tough for her to have gone through all that for this result. You sound like a really good friend through.

Thanks to everyone for the congrats, I'm not going to get the flags out just yet as I'm still petrified of miscarrying but it's good to know that we have at least conceived, yes it was my third month of clomid Team Lowe, and I got a good progesterone result last week (55) so hopefully that will stand me in good stead to maintain the pregnancy. It may even be twins (!) but hey I am getting ahead of myself here. Due to my diabetes I will get a scan at 5 weeks so I'm going to ring the hospital tomorrow and get booked in, hopefully that means I'll find out pretty soon if it is growing in the right place etc.
Sorry you're not having a good day Code. Let's hope your cold is on the way out.
Angel hope you manage to get an appt with the GP soon and its nothing to worry about.
Becca I usually test without DH, but we did the false negative test last week together. He usually leaves all that kind of stuff to me though.
How many BFPs in the last two weeks on here? This is like a thread world record - come on there's a few days left in January, let's get some more in!0 -
I don't tell him if I'm testing, if I'm upset I'll tell him I did one and it's negative but tbh I haven't had chance to test since summer lol
I told him when I test positive and he was golfing so had to ring him as I was freaking out, that was an odd phone call lol xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6
