Mrs J28 - Thank you :) I have had blood tests and am waiting for the results, but my GP wasn’t all that sympathetic. OH has had a SA and all was normal.
Becca0417, JoJoB, onlywayisup- thanks for the hugs
firefly369 - I hope I get a BFP soon as well.... you too
atton – don’t give up trying, you hear of stories all the time about how people tried for years and then it just happens
tinkwings – I too feel stressed with work, but don’t want to change jobs ‘just in case’ I wouldn’t be entitled to maternity pay. I know you are grateful to have two wonderful children already but that doesn’t take away the longing for another one, I am sure you will get that 3rd little bundle of joy, just keep trying
mrshappy – its easier to know that I am not the only one thinking this. I have no friends IRL that seem to have had problems getting pregnant so this forum does help
mogwai – I agree a little break from all the ttc malarkey once every 6 months or so is a good idea, and we have done this, but I just always think that next month will be the one and I’m not getting any younger. I came off BC back in July 11. I think that ttc months 3-9 felt the worst I am now just getting a bit sarcastic about the whole thing. My job involves a lot of work with babies and last time someone said ooo babies suits you, when you gonna have some I snapped back oh I’ll just order a few from ebay shall I? You are right I shouldn’t put our lives on hold but I hate wasting money and booking expensive holidays I may not be able to go on just seems silly. Having dresses made that don’t look like they could be altered to accommodate a bump, seems like I have given up believing this is ever going to happen to us.
Metranil – thankyou for your supportive words. I haven’t tried the Clearblue thingy but I have been using the IC and some months I get a positive but most months I don’t, isn’t it much the same as using normal OPK’s? Have you tried it?
Lilymay – hugs for AF, I tried soy for a couple of cycles and it did give me ovulation pains so I am guessing it did something, didnt make for a BFP though L maybe I will try it again next month.
Timetodeal – I am also a similar age to you and trying for #1 and been trying a similar amount of time (according to the front page) its really hard and such a roller coaster. I too have cancelled things or put things on hold ‘expecting’ that I will be pregnant by then.
QQ – thanks for the hugs, and thanks for always being here and always noticing/mentioning every one of us. I don’t know what we will do when you get your BFP and graduate….. but I am glad to be standing in line waiting my turn next to someone as positive and supportive as you.
Comp – the kindle comment made me lol I am glad you still have your sense of humour in all this ttc stuff.
Loulou123 – you’re a wonderful lady to be supportive of this 19 year old who has found herself in such a situation, I am sending virtual hugs to you and the 19 year old, I hope there is a happy ending there.
Bigzippy – I always smile when I see you post, please keep lurking and post when you can, I have learnt a few pearls of wisdom from your posts
Raz Waz – huge hugs with cherries on top
Lazywife – welcome to the mad house
If at first you dont succeed, try, try again

I think if you put it on a bit of tissue (gross) then EWCM will not be absorbed whereas leftovers will!!

Also, there's a sink or swim test but I can never remember which way round it is... one of them floats and one of them sinks in water!

Oh the joys of ttc and 'getting to know your body'...

EWCM floats in water, leftovers sink.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx
  • Rumfeeble - Yes I have a CBFM, and yes it did work for me.

I had a mc back in Jan 2010, and was pregnant again by April having used the CBFM for 2 months.

It is slightly more sophisticated than an OPK as it reads 2 different hormones, and it does help you to pinpoint exactly when your body is about to ov.

I know it doesn't work for everyone, but from my personal experience it is the best thing I ever tried. I am going to ttc without it for a few months as OH fnds it deeply unsexy (one of the downsides I guess), but if nothing is happening I will most definitely be dusting it off again!
Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,
You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..

QQ - It doesn't feel like a normal AF, the blood is a different shade of red, looks more like when I've cut myself - AF blood always seems sort of shinier, and the cramps are a ton worse than usual.

Not sure 100% what happened, but I normally have spotting for 2 days, then 5 days of AF, this time, I had no spotting, red bleeding for an hour on 12DPO, then brown cm on 17DPO and AF on 18DPO. AF normally starts at 13/14DPO. I also got 5+ positives on ICs, but negatives on digitals, and the ICs have turned negative as well now.

I came off the Pill 4 years ago, so it's not leftover birth control messing up my system, and I've been tracking my cycles the past 4 years (NTNP) and I've never had anything like this before.

ikkle & mrsj - thank you both.

I think I'm going to tempt fate and finally get round to buying a prescription pre-payment thing. I usually get at least one a month, so it hasn't quite been worth it. But now I need met as well as codiene each month it probably will be. Depends how much met my GP will put on one prescription. It was 84 tablets last time which worked out as 6 weeks as I staggered the dose to start with, but now that would only last me 28 days.

Hopefully the minute I've paid for it I'll get pg and then won't have to pay for them anyway.
  • Hi everyone,
hugs to everyone and recent CD1s
Middle of 2ww and nothing to report. Had a off day yesterday, mates phoning and reporting new pg and babies. They seem to be ramping up. Going to see OH dad at weekend, bet he will go on about pg sister etc. Hope am in a better mood for it.
Was trying to focus good vibes by relaxing last night and then was thurst upon with that new avert form cussions mum and me.
Ahhhhhh, can cope with other adverts, but this shows testing, scans, bumps and new borns all in one advert.
Ooops must have been on one (not like me) and sent a complaint about it. Never done anything like that before.
Continue to keep up good vibes
