Hi everyone,

Just got back from my first Gynae appointment. Thought the first appointment would just be a chat but no...had a smear, two swabs, internal scan of my ovaries, had height and weight checked and a full medical history taken. He wants me back in two weeks once my blood test on Friday comes back and then we get to chat about the possible options. If I get another af this Month (ie. not pregnant) then I have to go get my tubes checked as well.

The good news is that he got hold of OH SA results and they are 'normal'. The bad news is that I turn 38 in two months and that is the cut off for IVF in our area.

Purcy - did you do a digi yet?

MV - hope you are relaxing and enjoying your day off and not stressing yourself out.

Just a quick delurk-in my area (Glasgow) they will still see/help you as long as the referral is made by the GP before the cut off age. Here it is 39, GP referred us in October last year and we were seen in February, (I turned 39 in December last year) maybe worth checking

Hello Ladies, Hope everyone is well - I haven't read back yet but will in a mo, just wanted to congrats purcy!

QQ - when you are about please can you put me at CD3? Ta!

AF showed up on Monday and I was pleased! Yes very odd - really I knew I was not pg and was wanting to know how regular my cycle might be so it looks like a nice straight forward 29 days which I am shocked about after 14 years on the pill BUT I did take Agnus Castus (?sp) for a month which I think might have helped but I have stopped taking it now in case of pg so I guess I will see if not pg this month whether AF is just as regular.....

OH asked me last night if I had been "studying my cycle" :rotfl:so I told him that by my calculations we should be bding around his birthday weekend - his eyes lit up and he said that if we are lucky it would be the best present ever!!

Hi Mrs Happy,

I am also in the Glasgow area. The Doc definately said 38 but he did say he was going to have a chat with the team at the Royal and see what they recommend before I get to 38. Hopefully he is mistaken and it is 39 not 38. That one extra year might make all the difference. Thanks for the info I will bring it up at my next appointment:)

No news here, just that it's CD1 again, so we'll be aiming to BD around Halloween.
