If you are pregnant and you used a test strip for ovulation would it be a + ?

And would it show up 9dpo?

lilymay1 when i did a ic test, my line was in that place , i did 2 and both the same. so did another in the morning and it was a bit more . think you should do another one, as that look positive.

Well I think I may have CD1 today. I don't think it's from the Coil removal but will see how long it lasts. But if it is CD1 then great stuff and can have lots of BD! Have already since Thursday

Atton - some people have experience of ovulation tests showing up positive when they are pregnant, apparently they can also detect the pregnancy hormone, but my advice would be

a) don't use an ovulation test to check if you are pregnant, use a pregnancy test!
b) don't trust any kind of test as early as 9DPO! I know that some tests can give early results, but it can be heart breaking if you think you have a positive and then AF arrives as usual.

Hope that helps, sorry if it sounds a bit harsh, I just think that early testing, and using OV tests as pregnancy tests, can cause real confusion and upset.

Eugh. I need someone to tell me off! I've had 2 negative tests now, 13dpo today so AF was due yesterday. I feel like AF is going to arrive any minute but I've felt like this for nearly a week. Fed up now, AF just hurry up!!!! Stop me SS-ing!

Plus OHs cousin has just announced her pregnancy. I thought we'd be first but obviously not. I had to go to bed to cry so DH didn't see me.

Thanks for the kind words ladies but I am def not pregnant.

I've been doing ov tests randomly during this cycle and they've only just started getting dark now, which fits in nicely with when I would expect to ov. Ish. That pregnancy test is an evap line, for sure. I have a few from that pack left and I will do another one tomorrow to see what comes up but it is almost certainly just a rubbish batch.

Atton - I agree with MrsnotJ...she speaks a lot of sense! At 9dpo (and only CD19 in your cycle) I wouldn't be going off a OPK. Use a pregnancy test, but not until af is late.

Lily - are you serious?! Work on a SUNDAY at 6AM?! I'm working at the moment (doing my maths planning for next week with a glass of wine) but that is ridiculous!

Thanks for telling me off. I think I'm just hormonal as AF is on way so feeling generally grotty!

Yay! I speak sense! Although I love it that you say I speak sense, yet are doing a pregnancy test on the same day as ov tests I should confess for the record... I have been know to do an OV test after a negative HPT, just in case, well, the HPT wasn't very clever and didn't pick up on the pregnancy hormone, and in case the OPK was a bit more sensitive, or something.....that was a while ago and now I am firmly in the no early testing camp....but still...:o

I'm obviously not going to pass comment on the [STRIKE]what looks like a positive[/STRIKE] IC test that you did, but I will say I have everything firmly crossed for a BFP for you at the end of this month.

:eek: at having to go into work at 6am tomorrow. Any news on the potential new job? Hopefully they won't be so keen on the Sunday 6am starts there....
