Ebay advice wanted

Ebay and paypal address should be the same. Have you checked that they are?

I may be wrong but I have a feeling that sometimes the email they send the seller has wrong address on (send payment adderss instead of delivery) > even though ebay/paypal delivery address is correct.

Very strange paypal and ebay would show conflicting addresses but has been known to happen!

I have checked paypal payment message and despite the address being correct on my paypal account, it is quoting the old address which it can only have got from Ebay.

I know the paypal address is correct because otherwise the card payment would have failed.

Your address makes no difference to the card payment. I have several addresses on PayPal added as gift addresses and can choose which one I want my goods shipped to when I pay. Obviously only one of them is linked to my card.

There is only one address on my paypal account, the correct one. My previous paypal account was ahcked and I stopped using is just after we moved.
Only one on Ebay account as well, sadly the wrong one at the time. The only thing I had purchased using that account previously were iTunes voucher codes which were sent to me by Email.

PayPal don't take addresses from Ebay, they each have their own verification processes.

The address on Paypal on the payment message is an address supplied by you and as has been explained, can be nothing to do with the cardholders address.

I should also mention that if your account was hacked, you should not have opened a new one but resolved the issues on the hacked one.

If I read this correctly the verified address in Paypal is your current one? The ebay address is your former one?

The seller sent the TV to the former address not the verified Paypal address so surely they have lost any seller protection from Paypal.

The address on paypal has always been the correct one, but the one showing on the Ebay order as the shipping address is the incorrect one. The seller sent to the quoted shipping address.

Which is it? Either the Paypal address is correct or the message is wrong or vice versa. Paypal do not change the address on the account.

If you are 100% sure you put the correct address on paypal (the one that appears on the paypal message) then you are covered for INR. If there are gaps in your story, then you are not covered, despite protestations to the contrary.
