    Was the device on your bed when it was being charged? If you are a restless sleeper, or there was for any reason a lot of movement, and the thing was bouncing up and down all night it would have undergone acceleration and been travelling at a higher velocity relative to the plug socket.

    Relativistic effects would have resulted in less time elapsing for the device than for the electrical socket to which it was attached. The effect of this would be to decrease the charging time experienced by the device and also to increase the frequency of the electricity the transformer received (assuming it too was in motion).

    Please consult your device's user manual which should detail the consequences of time dilation and consequent frequency distortion on the charging time (in your frame of reference) of your device.
