Replacement birth certificates - urgent please

well, it was very easy. Phoned the registry where I was born at 9am this morning. Lady very, very helpful, filled in the application for me over the phone, checked she could actually find the certificate and then took payment from me. Some 2 1/2 hours later, I managed to (by luck, not judgement), I found a parking space right in front of the entrance to the registry office (huge building, parking and entraces/exits on all 4 sides!), walked in, said I'd ordered a certificate over the phone and it was handed to me there and then. No messing about. All incredibly easy.
Amazing how easy it was after all the stressing yesterday so if the lady at the registry is reading this - thank you very much!0
