Does your cat or dog have square eyes?

Lulu is a massive fan of 'Meercat Manor' and 'Monkey Life'. She also enjoys 'It's Me or the Dog', the Famous Grouse advert and many serious wildlife documentaries. She watches human television from the floor but cranes her neck, goes into the begging position or paws at the screen for her favourite shows. :rotfl:

Do any of your pets, past or present, watch television? What are their favourite programmes?

  • OMG I am suffering from Ani*mal Planet withdrawal!

I can't have any programmes with animals on or Maisie goes nuts - running around the house, barking trying to find the intruder!!

Wee cat was fascinated with some of the sports in the Olympics - swimming, diving and running :D and she loved Cats on Claw Hill and Mad about cats (both on AP) - bit odd really as she goes ballistic if another cat comes anywhere near her in RL!

Don't think Big cat would ever lower himself to even look at the TV (never seen him do it!).

Yeh Splat my 12 week kitten loves the tv! I'm watching the re runs of the bill and she is always on the tv stand craning her neck to watch it!

She seemed to love the Olympics, especially the diving, where as I've said on my thread how she had been watching it, she walked up and down the tv stand stood on the edge and somersaulted off! It was sooo funny cos it was like she was tryin to do what she had watched the divers doing! I just wish I had the camera out at the time lol

Am I the only one who's first reaction was I've never seen a dog/cat with square eyes and that maybe if you did have a pet with square eyes you should get it down the vet ASAP or Exorcised?

She always sits as close as possible and sometimes she paws at the screen! Weird!

Thanks for all the responses! I feel terrible for not letting Lulu watch the Olympics, it never occurred to me she'd like it. :o

Aww loving that Splat pic :D

Mine don't show a blind bit of interest in the telly. Jerry Cat did see horses on the screen several times a few years ago and seemed fascinated with them each time. Sat there like a mad woman some time later shouting 'Jerry... Jerry... horses on the telly' and he just gave me a look saying 'and? Your point is?'.

Oh, just reminded myself above - hubby was home with Jerry Springer on and they all did the chant 'Jerry... Jerry...' as they do, and he was looking round for who was calling him :D

    Tyson loves Meercat Manor too.

And Ice Road Truckers for some reason!
  • It's strange, my cat never seems to notice the TV. She never even glances at it!
