I have made the mistake of buying from these people again.

    Yes.... I know.................

I ordered on the 4th Dec and its still not here. I have been promised it will be here for Christmas (over the phone after a complaint), despite my online account stating that it will be here on the 12th..................

Money has been deducted from my account, long before despatch.

They're not improving - they took my money the day I ordered, the goods were stolen from the courier so I never received them. After endless unsatisfactory calls to customer service, they ran out of stock so I had to apply for a refund. 6 weeks later - no goods, no refund. Terrible customer service.

One thing you have to remember when you order is that they do not carry stock !
They act as a "selling Agent " for various companies who pay commision on goods sold .
So really you are in the hands of whoever is selling regards delivery not IW !
We had a Demo on there with a Salad Cutter/Spinner which was total Cr*p but sold over 3.500 units !
So just `cos its on TV dont make it good !
    Buyer beware !

They've recently been voted Freesat "channel of the year"?! http://www.idealworld.tv/
This begs the question - how?
I've often wondered how there can be a best of the year for anything, e.g. product, tv channel etc. when we're only half way through the year?
I think I saw best music singles of the 21st century advertised quite recently too, that really IS puzzling!

Be aware also that they have recently set up a new telephone number(09056484848)which costs 20p a minute and they keep you on the line for ages and ends up costing you a fortune.

DON'T TOUCH IDEAL SHOPPING WITH A BARGEPOLE.

    Customer Services sucks big time....

Total bunch of idiots and I won't be ordering again... ever!!!!!!!!!!

Next thread we get will be a sorry tale of someone who walked out in a storm without a coat or similar protective wear and how they got ill from being so cold and wet. Warning: do not go out in the rain without a coat or umbrella, you will get wet!

I just ordered a Kenwood Chef from Ideal World shopping channel. I had a voucher sent in the mail last week for a £5 discount which would at least cover a bit of the P&P. I couldn't find it when I ordered initially so I called after I made the order which was confirmed by email.

I called to see if they would deduct the voucher value off the order value and when I did so, the idiot that I spoke to, who obviously didn't speak a great deal of English, cancelled my order and said he couldn't do the deduction so he cancelled the order and that the product was now sold out.

What a blundering idiot. Thanks a bunch, MUPPETS.
Yep, they are nuts, all the shopping chanels are except, I must say that gems and rocks tv are fab. I ordered something from bid tv. they were more interested when I rang with the order trying to sell me some package that got me money off various retail outlets, it would cost me 'only' £99 a year. I ended up having to be really pushy and say no, I didn't want this, which spoils the experience of buying from them, I would never purchase from them ever again!!! Plus, the advisor could hardly speak or understand english. I am not predudiced buy a long chalk, but I was paying for the call and was on about 10 times longer than necessary. The last thing anyone wants when ringing to order something is a person trying to sell them something else and being really pushy about it too!! I would say steer clear.
  • Hmmm

I've had two orders from not-so-ideal world - first one was fine, delivered OK no irregularities correct payment taken - so I thought OK, I'll use them again.

    How wrong was I?

Ordered some Fixsal glue which arrived OK and one tom-tom sat-nav.

Yes you guessed it - no sat-nav.

Tracking from the hdnl said 'contact supplier' so I sent an email -
then a few days later sent a second email - only got auto replies and no follow up.

Today I spent 20 minutes before getting through to one of this thread's 'IW Muppets', who confirmed to that the courier had lost it!!

Whaaaaat!! Someone stole it more like!!!

So what's the next step? Not 'Sorry sir, we'll send you a new one, sir straight away sir and then send the police to HDN sir to beat up the thief, sir - oh no, I get the we have to investigate from here then send you a claim form then....

    Whhhhaaattttt!!!!!!

I'll be getting my CC company to charge-back I think!

They've lost another customer and more bad Internet press.

(d'ya think if I tweet this to Mr S Fry he'll take up the cause and call these idiots a bunch of cowboys?....:-/)

Don't get mad - get even!!!
  • I ordered 3 items on the 19-12-2010 two arrived quickly,e-mailed Ideal world straight away. There reply was no problem it will be sent out.Still waiting nearly 2 months later and about 12 e-mails .
I think they should be taken off air. i have told them I am writing to trading standards still waiting for a reply.
Perhaps they should be renamed Fantasy Shopping!!!.
    Any advice.
    Thanks.
