Another stroppy OP not happy with people telling them what they don't want to hear!
OP, just because people disagree with you perhaps consider that they are regulars here and may know what they are talking about. You should be more courteous as so far you deserve no help, you came here seeking advice so why think people are being arsey when they are just giving you their opinion. If you want your legal position go and pay a solicitor £200 an hour to tell you the same thing.
Your position is clear as has been posted a number of times here:
Only the purchaser has rights.
If it is over 6 months old the onus is on the purchaser to prove that the fault was inherent.
If you can prove that the fault was inherent then you are entitled to a (partial) refund / replacement / repair at the discretion of the retailer.
Had you bothered to read the FAQ you would know this and could have saved us all some time.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -

I believe you are totally wrong though as overall the product has not achieved what it has promised yet again I have had another holiday with no photos so when it keeps breaking it needs to go in for repair , what a reliable camera ay?!
So you only want to hear from people who think you're right, when you're not?
This has to be a wind up, no one can be this monumentally stupid and well, just ridiculous.
OH HAI I WANT TO KNOW WHAT RIGHTS I HAVE? WAAA YOU'RE NOT TELLING ME WHAT I WANT TO HEAR! STOP TALKING!
It's the Internet love, you asked for advice and we gave it. You're wrong, and just because it's not what you want to hear you have a hissy fit. I give up..
Edit: and before you come back having a rant about how unhelpful we are, consider this. You asked for advice. We gave it. If you disagree, well that's your problem. The point of a forum is for everyone to get their viewpoint in, which we have done. Your view is wrong, but I have to apologise in advance because I know that's not what you want to hear.
Take the good advice given on board, use it, and drop the toys-out-of-pram style attitude - it will get you nowhere.0
