It's a comparison of two phones, the Samsung Galaxy Y and the Huawei Ascend G300.

In short, the G300 smashes the Y into little pieces, while costing about 50% less.

I think the poster was referring to how he/she could get the G300 for £67 from Isme. all the info is in the OP on that HUKD thread linked to but basically to summarise you go through Quidco to Isme (open a credit account) and use the £30 discount code Quidco are showing to get the phone for £72.95 delivered. The Quidco 6% cashback should track at £5.94 so £67.01 net. To be fair even if the Quidco doesn't track, £73 for this phone is still a killer price (I mean, this phone even has Gorilla Glass!). Here's the link to the HUKD thread:

What is Gorilla Glass? Is it a tough scratch resistant screen? Is there a need for a screen protector for the G300 mobile? Can anyone reccomend a screen protector and a silicone cover for this phone? Plan to order this phone soon

Yes, gorilla Glass is a VERY tough scratch resistant glass. Case? I got this one from ebay for my wife's G300. £3.29 delivered. Comes with a screen protector (not recommended as it seemed to make the screen less responsive and with Gorilla Glass I don't think it is in any way needed. Certainly Huawei don't cover the screen out of the box). Also included is a mini stylus which my wife has found useful.

They're decent cases, I have that type on my One X.
  • I went for the isme/G300 deal today. I didn't find the site easy to navigate, and it wasn't obvious that the options account was the credit a/c needed (no mention of the £30), but I opened one eventually. My library internet session was coming to an end, and when the £3.95 delivery I selected turned to £4.95 at checkout I became so flustered that I forgot to enter the code to get the £30 :wall:
Later, I went to check my account and the balance was £0.00. I clicked the tracking facility 'where's my order?' which showed the £103.95 transaction as 'credit rejected'. Quite bizarre, considering minutes earlier they had granted me an account with a credit limit of £750!
Luckily, I remembered someone else posting that they had still got their voucher code accepted when paying by card ,so I logged back into the account and paid by credit card when prompted. A popup said the £30 would be recredited to the card (screenprint taken!), and Saturday delivery was back to £3.95, so with £100+ CC protection, an even better transaction than with the credit account. Would advise those who don't need the credit to still apply for it but use CC or debit card as alternative payment method..
I now fear the deliverer turning up tomorrow with two identical packages, but I've made a note of both order numbers; am I entitled to reject the earlier one?

You're entitled to return both under distance selling regs so dont worry

I got one and it came next day, even says on the packing envelope "hang on to this envelope because you have # days to return it"

    Wont be returning mine though
When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?

I wouldn't hang around at this price - I got mine, next day, very pleased, haven't paid a penny yet, haven't even given them my card details - a guy called me up to check my mailing address and thats it - total bargain
