Very little. He has worked away for about 12 years. He comes back most weekends where we tend to spend the day together but on an evening he tends to watch stuff on the television that i'm not interested in so i come upstairs and either go on my pc or watch the telly in the bedroom. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. We spend most weekends together and a few evenings a week. We have some mutual friends and interests but also separate social circles and interests so we're not in each other's pocket all the time. I suppose different things suit different people but this works for us....the time we spend together is generally quality time and having different interests/things going on gives us things to talk about when we are together.
It's quite different from the relationship I had with my ex who figured that we should be together constantly (except during work hours), only take part in interests if it was shared and that we shouldn't socialise separately and that definitely didn't suit me (hence him being ex!).Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -
See her every evening, except one night per week when I go climbing. On the weekends I'll go climbing/running/cycling/golfing and leave her to it, but we're normally together the rest of the time.0

Most evenings and weekends, though when finances allow we try to have at least one evening, or weekend day out doing things with our friends. And I often visit my family in the UK without him (I do invite him!), or occasionally my friends there (for special occasions), so we can go from being together loads, to not seeing each other for 3/4 days.

Very scientific answer here…
We have from 7pm to 5am together Mon – Sat and sleep between 11pm and 5pm so that leaves 4 hours a night 6 days a week (24 waking hours) and a full day Sunday probably between 9am and 11pm so another 14 hours there…J We have the opportunity to spend 38 hours together out of 168 in a week so only 22% of the week!!
He will spend up to 2 hours a week in that time at his mums and I spend a different 2 hours running my brownie pack which overlaps with the 4 hours he spends at football so that’s another 6 hours apart… so now we are down to just 32 hours in a 168 hour week so only 19%... and that includes time together but with other people too!!!
We obviously try to spend our 19% together as much as we can… sad when I think of it as a percentage that it is so low how much time I spend with the man i love!
We grew up together so we have mostly mutual friends...it is only when there is a boys night or girls night that we might be out with friends without the other one!:jBaby Boy born December 20120 -
Most of the time.
We both work from home so share an office. I may spend an evening or two a week out playing football, squash or running. I guess I am lucky we get on so well, we almost never argue.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -

Had this convo with OH at weekend!! Think I worked it out that I'm still in the honeymoon period of the relationship and he's not....!!Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
As much time as possible, we make a point of having a set routine with the kids at night so we can have some quality time together once they go to bed, its maybe just watching TV or having a chat, sometimes I read and he surfs the net and we lie and have a cuddle.
Our weekends are planned together as well, its only very occassionaly we do things seperatley

Hubby and I try to spend about an hour on weekdays together but that's mostly chill time after work. The weekend is always spent together. I'm American and he's a Brit so when we met we had to fly back and forth to see each other (5,000 miles distance)for four years! Sometimes we'd go for months not seeing each other and it was slowly killing me. Now we're making up for it by spending as much time as possible together (since we both live in the UK now!). 8 years strong and getting better and better with each year
