Ok mummyroysof3 a sensible suggestion this time. Sounds like children involved in this trip so bring some board games to play. Can be a good way of having everyone doing something together, after dinner and before bedtime.0

We take tea, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar. I also buy the bulk packs of capri sun for the kids from Iceland. Cereal, loaf of bread, marmite, jam, baked beans, multi-packs of crisps. We buy things like milk, eggs, bacon and butter in a little store when we arrive. I take salt and pepper with me.
Washing up liquid, tea towels, toilet rolls and bath towels. I also take my own pillows. Oh and not forgetting the most important thing, a bottle of Hendricks gin
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0 -
If you do have to take bed linen, fold it to fit the back seat and sit on it, saves room in the boot. Things that don't matter if they get creased can be put in bin bags and squashed in any gaps in the car. We always took the kids wellies then if they want a paddle but the sea is cold their feet keep reasonably warm.0

my favourite frying pan for breakfast time
The ones in the caravan are rubbish.
I take a pack of ready made cupcakes, small bag of icing sugar and decorating bits so the kids can do some cake decorating , we have a competition to see who makes the best one
Bingo pens for the mummy bingo ,if crayons are not your thing
Have a nice holiday xLife should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ~ WOO HOO what a ride!0 -

If you're doing a picnic lunch take something to put sandwiches etc., into ie tupperware containers (do they still do tupperware?!) or sandwich bags.0 -
Take lots of old carrier bags, apart from using them for rubbish, they're handy for storing wet shoes/boots, they hang from cupboard doors so they're good for putting flannels, soap, shampoo etc into. When you have dirty washing, fold it up (takes up less space) and put it into carrier bags, it's kept away from your clean stuff and you won't have sand or mud all over your suitcase.
Don't forget things like a washing-up sponge or cloth and teatowels. And always take blankets or duvets, caravans can be very cold, we spent a weekend in Weymouth, all sleeping in the same bed to keep warm! :rotfl:
I know it's heavy, but try to gather up as much small change as you can to take with you. If you have coppers and small coins ready, you won't be tempted to change a fiver or a tenner in the ubiquitous arcades that seem to surround caravan parks!
Have a lovely time, I luuuuuurrrrrvvveee caravan holidays!
