had the same problem eventually had an email to say all problems fixed, claim went through, received an email to say my claim had been validated on the 17/7/2014 payment would be made within 72 hrs, guess what I'm still waiting.0

every time I try to claim my money back I get an error message saying that the invoice no should be 6 digits long if bought in store or 10 digits long if bought online. I don't even fill this field in, it is filled in by their system when I enter my registration code.
I have phoned them countless times only to be told they have referred it to IT or that it has been fixed.
Yesterday I spoke to a supervisor who said that he had requested to pay me directly and that he'd get back last night or first thing this morning.
I am at a loss of what to do. Can anyone help?0 -

I claimed mine today and received the error that the receipt/invoice number needs to be 6 digits for in store purchases (as mine is) and 10 for online purchases. My code was 6 digits long because I purchased it in store, and anyway as philwagg says, that number is populated by Currys themselves based on your original registration, so I had a guess that their validation error was in fact mistaken and the problem was elsewhere.
In my case I found the product number was wrong, not the receipt number. I went onto the curry website, found the TV I'd bought and scrolled down to the very bottom of the description where the product number is, copied and pasted it into that box and voila! problem solved!
Lesson learned: when you're absolutely certain that you're entering the correct data but still getting an error message, don't discount the fact that there might be an error with the error message :rotfl:
So philwagg, have a look at your product code. The problem I had is that I entered samsung's product code (eg UE48H6400) not the code Currys give it, which in that example is actually 096028!0 -

Well....er.... a model number is NOT a product code. A product code is always going to be the retailer's stock number, not the manufacturer's model number.0 -

Thank God I haven`t got their five year cover for my new TV imagine trying to get a prompt repair!0 -
