Is it acceptable to be sworn at by a supervisor?

Bank Holidays don't exist in there.
Really......
Well, were you given notice of this disciplinary meeting and told of your right to be accompanied by a colleague of your choice or a trade union representative?
If not then the "official verbal warning" is not a valid part of a disciplinary process, more an informal word.....0 -

No I wasn't, Well I took it as a verbal warning and if it happens again I am gone.0 -

Even a "verbal" warning should be notified to you in writing. So there is a possibility (and I say that because it sounds like this place isn't hot on proper procedure) it is just a "please don't do this" rather than an official warning.0 -
Swearing is obviously unacceptable from any supervisor/boss..
BUT..
You clearly sound like you cant be bothered working full stop. You `dragged' yourself in? You had Monday blues? I hardly class `Monday blues' as some form of sickness as you make it out to be. You had `Monday blues but you went in'. Well thats nice of you! I think its not just your supervisor that needs to check his attitude, your attitude to work sounds very poor from just the wording in that one paragraph.
Oh get over yourself, not many of us have a job we like, you can still work but it doesn't mean you have to enjoy it!
I have all week blues...go to town on that :rotfl:0 -

I made an appointment with my doctor for Friday I am going to explain all and see if I can go on the sick, I don't have a clue what way this works but it has to be worth a shot surely?
The problem with going sick is that any future employers will ask how many days you have had off previously and if the amount is high then they often steer clear. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
Are you sick then?More developments today, Every week there is something. I left my machine on at lunch time, I forgot all about it to be honest and remembered in the middle of lunch, first time I have ever done it, got called into the office after lunch, head of HR was there to witness and the boss gave me an official verbal warning, I got told if I do it again I won't be there. OK I made a mistake but his tone with me was none to pleasant, and for him to find out someone must of reported me. I can't take this carp any more, every day is a nightmare, I made an appointment with my doctor for Friday I am going to explain all and see if I can go on the sick, I don't have a clue what way this works but it has to be worth a shot surely?0 -

Its been an interesting couple of days, after another run in on Wednesday I said to hell with this, I packed up my belongings at the end of the evening with the intention of not going back.
Thursday morning I managed to get an appointment with a doctor, I explained the situation and how it was making me feel etc, I said I needed some time out from it all, he said yes I had anxiety and depression but that giving me a sick line or medication would be of no benefit as they are symptoms of this work issue, so the only cure would be to sort this work issue by explaining all to HR.
So I got home and summoned up the courage to phone into work and explain all, the HR guy was very understanding and explained that this behaviour was not acceptable, he said he would have a quiet word with the boss about it all and told me to return to work yesterday (Friday) and we'd go over it all.
So I returned to work yesterday and went up and seen the HR guy, he went over how experienced and how good a worker this supervisor guy was, and about pressure in a factory environment etc, his position had obviously changed after speaking to the boss, So basically making out I am bull$hitting the story and that I am only there a few months and this guy is there 10 years or so and is highly thought off.
So complete waste of time, I have tried tackling the issue the proper way and got know where.0
