Are there no supermarket jobs available? Trolley boy/ shelf stacking/ bakery/ fish etc. Most of the big supermarkets probably have real good protection against bad employment practises and yes it's low paid but I guess it'll be better than the crap job you have at the moment.Oh, you wee bazza!0

Thats what I was thinking, I went for an interview in our local Tesco's when it was opened but never got the job, but yeah OK the works a bit carp but the protection side of things appealed to me and the money wasn't actually to bad, I applied for night shift and it was more than I am getting now. But the only time I ever see supermarkets advertising is when a new store opens.0 -
Slash his car tyres.
Lol, no dont..
Just stand up to him and risk the sack, its a tough one though. When i was younger i'd have probably just walked out of the job, but, you need to stand up to him firmly and with physical restraint.
If you lose your job as a result of that, so be it...
You kept your pride, its more important.0 -

I would of done the same when I was younger, but while I can't change my situation at the moment I can change how I let it affect me and I'm not gonna allow that !!!!! to annoy me any longer.0 -
Yeah, stand up to him, all he'll do is either back down and respect you or sack you.
He wont hit you, very unlikely seeing as he's a supervisor.
And, if he does, claim that compensation!! lol
But dont be stupid, wait for him to say something stupid and then stand up for yourself.0 -
FALKO report this knob immediately. Ring HR mateThe opposite of what you know...is also true0

Swearing is obviously unacceptable from any supervisor/boss..
BUT..
You clearly sound like you cant be bothered working full stop. You `dragged' yourself in? You had Monday blues? I hardly class `Monday blues' as some form of sickness as you make it out to be. You had `Monday blues but you went in'. Well thats nice of you! I think its not just your supervisor that needs to check his attitude, your attitude to work sounds very poor from just the wording in that one paragraph.[/QUOTE
I do not like you.The opposite of what you know...is also true0 -
FALKO report this knob immediately. Ring HR mate
Ever since this incident I have been observing the attitude of others I work with, the entire company seems to be built on passive aggressive or in my case full blown aggressive behaviour, and because everyone is at it it's seen as normal behaviour, 90% of the workforce has been their 7/8/9+ years, new recruits such as me either leave as they cannot stick it, or fall victim and end up getting sacked. If your not an aggressive person you don't seem to stand a chance, In any other job I've had the bar for level or aggressiveness was set at perhaps raising your voice to someone and even that was rare and it's about as far as I can go as I am not an aggressive person, but I have heard stories of people getting punched:eek: and people openly bragging about it, I've never hit anyone and don't intend to start now, I just wonder how I will survive in such a place.0 -
Why don't you just laugh in his face and remind him he is the most junior of management?
Tell him if he's got a problem with you, he should fire you- then remind him that he can't... because he's junior management (First, I' check he can't actually fire you though).
I'm 17, so I don't know much about work related affairs, but I do know how to deal with over inflated ego's.. I went to a secondary school full of 'em.“Washing one's hands of the conflict between the powerful and the powerless means to side with the powerful, not to be neutral. ”

More developments today, Every week there is something. I left my machine on at lunch time, I forgot all about it to be honest and remembered in the middle of lunch, first time I have ever done it, got called into the office after lunch, head of HR was there to witness and the boss gave me an official verbal warning, I got told if I do it again I won't be there. OK I made a mistake but his tone with me was none to pleasant, and for him to find out someone must of reported me. I can't take this carp any more, every day is a nightmare, I made an appointment with my doctor for Friday I am going to explain all and see if I can go on the sick, I don't have a clue what way this works but it has to be worth a shot surely?0
