Hi
Can I use last year's voucher with was OK to use as a printout?
Print your free LAST YEAR'S eye test voucher
My guess to answer my question is NO as the used barcode and the date are wrong.
But maybe somebody or Martin could update the JPG on this site so we can print it out and use it.
If it was OK last time it should work this time too. !!!
TIA :T0 -
When you've had your free eye test at ASDA or anywhere else, ask for a copy of the prescription ensuring that it includes pupillary distance and have a look at the following site for good quality, well-priced glasses...

Running_Horse wrote: »Measuring the pupillary distance is not part of the eye test. It is carried out by the dispenser and the optician is under no obligation to supply it free of charge. When you receive your cheap Internet glasses and they do not fit or you cannot see properly, who is going to put them right? Shop around by all means, but get everything (sight test and glasses) under one roof, especially if your prescription or glasses are complex.
- Most opticians are 'nice' enough to measure your pupillary distance if you ask them to :j
- Nothing wrong with the glasses being 'cheap(er)' as long as they are good quality, which I have found is true with Glasses Direct :j
- You can avoid them not fitting properly by checking the arms on your existing glases and there will be tiny numbers stating the current length :j

If you want to save money by using the Internet that's your choice, but remember you only get one pair of eyes, so take very good care of them. I have made glasses for 20 years before finding a new career, and the most frequent problem we had to deal with was someone having glasses made up by a different company to where they had the sight test. If you have the sight test and dispense done under one roof you know who is responsible, and most opticians will then remake your glasses as many times as it takes to get it right. I personally would advise people not to take up this offer.
I did the last ime around and was very disappointed. To say the test was quick is an understatement. I would rather undergo a thorough and proper eye test at D&A or Spescaver. It may cost but it's money well spent.Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

Measuring PD
1) Hold a ruler against your forehead
2) Get a friend to take a close-up picwith a digital camera, that includes eyes and ruler
3) View picture on PC, blown up large
4) Use a piece of paper and a pencil to mark distance between pupils
5) Measure this against the ruler in your photo
This method ensures accuracy and is easy to do. Other methods using mirrors etc are hopeless!
PS My wife and I both have glasses from www.goggles4u.com which cost less than £15 each and have been great0 -

I would recommend checking out site4eyes.co.uk It's a very simple, easy to use website, which I appreciate. They have a great number of frames, for all ages and so far I've bought 3 pairs of frames from them and I'm really happy with all of them.0
