Once you have your prescription from Asda visit speckyfoureyes.com for complete single vision glasses at £20! You can upgrade with transitions lenses, bi-focal or varifocal or choose designer frames at a fraction of shop prices!0

According to the storefinder my nearest Asda optician is 112 miles, would it be worth it?0

hi there!
i'd highly recommend https://www.optical4less.com for really funky inexpensive glasses. they come from hong kong, but only take a week to be delivered - high quality frames and lenses at a fraction of the high street cost (i got 2 pairs of really smart glasses - frames and lenses - with delivery + a hard case and cloth for £20) The styles are very unusual and of all the pairs of glasses i have had over the years, paying £120-150 per pair, the ones from optical4less are the ones that people have complimented me on the most!0 -
Only relevant to England and Wales. All eye tests are free in Scotland

Not sure about Ireland.0 -
if you get your eye prescription you could also try speckyfoureyes.co.uk or .com, thats another cheap glasses supplier on the net have seen advertised (not 100% sure on the spelling, but that was the name):A R.I.P. Dave "Simmo" Stimpson.....:AA friend, A Gentleman, and a Damn good pool player. You will be missedone in prison, not long enough0

Incidentally, if you work with computers, you should also be entitled, I believe, to an eye test paid for by your employer - although they tend to keep quiet about this.....0

Thanks for this0

I've used https://www.spex4less.com for cheap glasses after an eye test at Specsavers (paid for by my employer as I use computers a lot). Spex4less have been very good if frames have been damaged, e.g. a screw loose (the frames that is!) and have repaired, even replaced, very quickly without question. They're a UK company if that helps anyone concerned about buying from abroad, but having said that I'll be looking at some of the links given by others next time.0

Mine did - I stumbled across it by accident. It also said that I could only have an eye test every two years. So far, I've hada test every year for the last 6 years and my employer has paid for it.
You have to remember, it's the optician who says how often you are to have a test, not your employer. Most people can get away with 2 years, as I already have double-glazing, my optician said to go every year (and they send me a reminder card):wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0
