Happy Birthday Elona.:beer:hilstep2000 wrote: »Just popped back to see what's up!
Thanks for the support about my weight.
Elona It may not sound much to you, but having never been this weight it feels weird! My clothes are getting too tight too and I'm not going to buy any more:rotfl:
I think a lot of it is how you feel about yourself. I was always a "skinny minny" who could eat what she wanted, hey, I was in a size 12 dress on the Monday having given birth to my son on the Saturday before:eek:, then when I turned 40 it all seemed to go wrong. I do love my food though, and I love cooking, which doesn't help. OH says he's the same, and he still loves me, but that's not a lot of consellation:rotfl:
I know I CAN do it, it's just getting myself motivated. It's DD's 1st anniversary next week (Yep already!) and this time last year I had lost 2 stone and was 10stone 10lb, so I need to do it again. Will try and keep you all updated!
Thanks to you all!:TIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Hello All
Am back after a bit of a hectic time, DH is now unemployed, but fingers crossed will have another job to start next month, means a month without any pay so lots of belt tightening in our household for a bit. We have moved house, so outgoings will hopefully be about £200 pm less which is big saving. House was bachelor pad and on the surface looked OK, on moving in lots of things have come to light luckily all cosmetic so we have spent last 2 weeks cleaning before we could even unpack, but its slowly starting to look like home and with the help of our fantastic friends the move went like clockwork and the bedrooms and living room are decorated and liveable. So have a lot to be grateful for.
OS have bought a washing line so am now able to dry washing outside when weather permits. Have deep cleaned the oven so thats now useable so no need to buy new one, same with DW. Tesc0 shop is being delivered so I can carry on here and not spend time in shops, though looking at some of the prices am looking forward to going back to Ald! asap. Tea tonight is tacos and fruit salad both LO from last nights olympic celebration tea.
Thoughts to all.
Results time nearly upon us, DD is looking more nervous by the day, she has worked hard so sure she will be fine, DS not so bothered and hes the one who should be!!Thoughts to all. Mrs D.

Hi,
Sorry to hear about your O/H losing his Job. He is one of many Inc myself. There are not that many Good Jobs around at the moment.
But has your O/H every considered working for himself ? I don't know what Jobs he has don't in the past or what he is good at But it might be something worth thinking about. Even something Link Gardening. There are many Old people about that find Gardening is a bit too much for them as they get older. I use to have a very good gardening round a few years ago. I only kept to my very local area. As I had a full time job as well at the time. But my Father in law has set himself a Round up and travels with in about a 10 kile radius for gardening. He also dose painting and decorating. HE went on a plastering course at the local collage and has also done a plumbing course. OK He is not making millions. But he is earning a living .
Some people make a good living off ebay /amazon
Just something to think about that's all.
Good Luck

Hilstep
Just realised my comment could be taken more than one way.It was intended to be positive and a compliment but words on a page can be read in different ways. I used to be slim (downright skinny once) and never put weight on - then after having youngest in my forties it piled on. Wish I had had your determination ages ago and good luck with it.
Had nice day out and dd bought me a meal at nandos - very strange to have my youngest treating me but very nice. Could not find a jacket I liked so my pressie is an eco friendly omelette pan = how OS is that!;)
DD thinks her interview (over an hour long and two presentations) went well but will not hear today so on tenterhooks for her.
Making curry when dds get home and then I think they plan to show me the home made cake they made for me.
Sending positive vibes and good wishes to those who are job hunting.

Elona I didn't take your remarks the wrong way, I know you meant well!:)
I have used up a bit of quiche and loads of salad tonight, plus blueberries that OH was given with natural yoghurt for tonights' dinner.
I have got the "Hairy Bikers Diet Book" today. (Book people only £4.99!)
It's got loads of recipes that are low in fat and calories, but not on taste or filling. They have lost 3 stone each in three months, and watching the programme today I think that'll be my bible for a few weeks!:rotfl:
So here goes fellow OS'rs, from today I will lose weight!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Hi all :hello:
Just had to have Daisy put to sleepShe was doing really well, then this afternoon she stopped eating. There was a huge lump under her tongue, it wasn't there this morning. She was in a lot of pain and wouldn't even swallow water from a syringe, she just let it dribble back out of her beak. She started gasping for air so we rang the vet and took her straight in. The vet thinks it was probably a cancerous growth that started further back in her mouth (where we all thought it was just an infection - it looked and smelled like one, and responded to antibiotics). So we decided not to bring her home
Not much OS going on here for the last few days - hangover on saturday (but it was well worth it!) and mr tru has been home for two days, you all know how he likes to get in my wayBulletproof0
