    Happy birthday Elona

  • Just signing in to say happy birthday to Elona.

:o:o:o:o Only OS thing atm here is that the washing liquid diluted with water/vinegar isn't really working. It cleans really well, but I seem to be using more. So while it seems a bit better at washing up, it isn't saving money.

Still full of cold and antihistimines (mainly self pity) and I ache everywhere, but darling father is giving me hell so I have to start cleaning, so no time for OS

    hugs to all

    Good Morning All

:jMany Happy Returns Elona:j & best of luck to DD for her interview.

Nlg- (((hugs))) have definitely felt like that before - well done you for the exercise, I know how much difference it can make but not so good about putting it in practice!

Had a lie in this morning, and a very slow start today as had a busy day and watched the closing ceremony. Overall I enjoyed it and great respect to Gary Barlow.

Today will be a mixture of pottering around doing housework and paperwork. Need to drop DD at the station later as she is out with friends and think DS has one of his many gym classes.

Did a boot sale yesterday and the profit was £110 very happy with that. Spent a little last night on a meal out and the rest will go on fun things to do this week. Have loads left over and hope to do another one next week. Not my favourite thing to do but the money is worth it and getting rid of clutter is priceless :rotfl:

Not sure what is going to happen for dinner tonight as DD is out early, DS needs to eat early and have no idea what time OH will be home as he is working days this week. Have a butternut squash so will make soup from that and see from there.

Really better get going, I am not even dressed yet:eek:

    Have a great day all.x

    morning all,
hilstep i totally understand about your weight. i spend my life 50% saying i love food and cooking so im going to eat what i want and the other 50% saying i must do something about my weight. i know everything there is to know about weight loss ( sorry to be bigheaded) but i just love my food my home my kitchen my baking. if i follow ww - which i did a while ago and lost 2.5 stone - i will loose the weight. i go to a resteraunt having checked and pointed what i will eat and i walk through the door and stuff my face. ive now put on slightly over a stone of the two and a half i lost and im gutted as most of my clothes are tight.:mad: rant over
how are we all. its sunny here and im going to do another wash. ive only just got up about an hour ago. well it is the holidays and everyone was asleep as we stayed up late to watch the wonderful olympics. i dont know what to do with out it.
today will consist of some light tidying and need to go and get mushrooms. i have to walk as i still cant drive. then i get paranoid that someone will bump into me and hurt my arm.
after watching the hairy dieters im going to do their lasagne type thing which has leeks in it instead of pasta. going to do a massive batch of the ragu and then i have it in the freezer for a later date.
thinking of the people on here who are having a sad time. it shows how we all go through it. i dont ususally name names but doesnt mean im not thinking of you all
    have a good day:beer:

    Morning,
Happy Birthday Elona, hope you enjoy your day:)
Dull, but breezy so washing is on the line.Going to start the ironing shortly, have a huge pile :(
We all had a late start due to closing ceremony, but DH slept in the spare room as he started coughing and spluttering yesterday,so at least I had a decent nights sleep.
Chicken breasts for tea.I have frozen the leftover beef from yesterday, there is enough for another roast dinner for all of us,and one lot to make a pie too,so broken down the cost per meal isnt too bad.I want to sort out another kitchen cupboard too today.Right ,must carry on,kind thoughts to everyone x

    Morning All!
Feeling a wee bit tired after staying up late last night - and having a bouncy DGD who wakes up ready for the day with great enthusiasm can be a touch exhausting! Mind, we'll miss her like anything when she goes home on Friday!
Loads of washing on the line today, and that might just be the extent of the OS here...
I'm out to lunch, followed by a business meeting, so DH will be on the playground circuit later!
    Happy Birthday to Elona!
((HUGS)) to all who need one.
    Have a good day!

Just popped back to see what's up!
Thanks for the support about my weight.
Elona It may not sound much to you, but having never been this weight it feels weird! My clothes are getting too tight too and I'm not going to buy any more:rotfl:
I think a lot of it is how you feel about yourself. I was always a "skinny minny" who could eat what she wanted, hey, I was in a size 12 dress on the Monday having given birth to my son on the Saturday before:eek:, then when I turned 40 it all seemed to go wrong. I do love my food though, and I love cooking, which doesn't help. OH says he's the same, and he still loves me, but that's not a lot of consellation:rotfl:
I know I CAN do it, it's just getting myself motivated. It's DD's 1st anniversary next week (Yep already!) and this time last year I had lost 2 stone and was 10stone 10lb, so I need to do it again. Will try and keep you all updated!
    Thanks to you all!:T

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Afternoon All

Happy birthday Elona, hope it's a good day. :bdaycake:

Had a waste of a morning - took a friend to the airport, just got back and he phoned to say his flight would be late leaving and he wouldn't make the connecting one (different airline). I went back to pick him up and he decided to use the airport computer to book another flight (I had to help and it cost £6 per hour!!). Anyway, he's on another flight today and has to wait till tomorrow to get the connecting one. To say it was a budget airline price it will now cost him for another flight and a night in a hotel!

Anyway, cleaners have been to do the stairs and rug,etc and brought back the furniture so things are progressing. Also heard from the insurance company who are going to pay out in full so that's good news.

I have an interview tomorrow so need to get ready for that this afternoon, apart from that not much happening, the ironing is done and the washing is up to date.

Not sure what to do now the Olympics are finished, I thoroughly enjoyed them and have to say well done to Team GB and all the other competitors, a great show last night too.

    Take care. XX
