no more psychic readings on ebay

I think there's about 3 pages of that on the community boards , the psychics are getting pretty cross about it.

As I understand it they are stopping things that unquantifiable, such as spells, readings or prayers etc and that includes Christians ones. Many people seem to be assuming this story is just about the pagan group and it's not as it covers all religions.
From a pagan prospective there are a few mixed opinions about this among the pagans I know. A few are seeing it as some sort of personal attack on their beliefs but many like myself can see it from Ebay's point of view and think it's probably a good thing. There are a lot of con artists out there, both of a religious mindset and those with no religion at all. Even if you got someone who didn't just take the money and run. Someone who genuinely did the readings or whatever that were paid for and send the results on, that is in no way quantifiable, how could you ever proved that it was done? Same with things like spells or prayers, they could never be verified. Not being a Wiccan personally I know my feelings on things like that differ from some of my Wiccan friends but my purely personal view is things like that should never be on Ebay anyway.
The are not getting rid of the Metaphysical & New Age sections completely, at least that is what Ebay currently state. Anything that is a solid product such candles or calenders etc, will still be available to buy. Yes something like the Bible would still be available as it's a tangible object. Like you say you are paying for the object not the belief of what it represents. I'm pretty narrow minded when it comes to people exploiting the weak and vulnerable too. Never really looked on it as a negative trait to be honest.I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0
