My Orginal Post back in May 2011

Help :) Boundary Dispute
God where do I start, I have just found out I live next door to the biggest Nut case ever, Let me start from the beginning.

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3248606

After reading that last post might give you some Idea of the Loon.

Got all that sorted anyway I checked with a Solicitor mate of mine & stuck the new fence on my side 5 inches from his so that stuffed him.

It's still going on I must have reported this mental case to the police 30 times I have logged everything I even rang and had a very long chat with the local mental health team, that was months ago & nothing has been done.

He still thinks I have stopped his TV & Radio working
He has also reported me to local water authority to say I blocked his drains.
He abuses my girlfriend calling a dirty druggie, she works for a large drugs agency as a councillor.
He calls me a Pervert all the time,
He is conviced I am a drug dealer
I have had drug squad come to my house as he reported me & check my garage as he told them I was growing cannabis (I have a jaccuzzi & sauna & sunbed in there)

I could go on & on

The police are doing nothing.

I have looked at taking legal action myself & a good solicitor mate of mine said don't waste your money he is nuts your get nowhere with it.

Last night I installed a new pump on my pond & that kicked him off again he started abusing me & I flipped and really gave him what for verbally as I had been working long hours in the last few days as I also have a very good job & travel a lot.

His wife who is just as nuts called the police & I had 2 police cars & a riot van on my front lawn at 9pm last night.
His wife had said I was fighting with him in there garden I just told him to go jump in the river and a few more words.
THERE WAS NO FIGHT THEY MAD IT UP.

The guy owns his house & anyone with a bit of sense would know he is not quite the full ticket he has 3 scrap cars on his drive & 3 sheds full of junk but it’s not real a mess so I am not interested.

Last night he was digging a Hugh hole in his garden at 9pm it was dark.

He has put up CCTV to film my front door & I have a feeling he is digging the hole in back garden to put a pole up to film my back garden (bet I am right).

The CCTV he put up filming my front door has been moved now so it only films his property as the police did sort that one.

I am at my Wits End with this loon & just need advice on what to do next as I am going to complain about the police or something.

I feel like sticking him in the 2 or 3 foot hole he is digging but I am keeping my cool.

Thanks for reading this

Regards

That's about the best advice you're gonna get. If he keeps calling the police on you, talk to your solicitor friend again about harassment. Otherwise just ignore him, though I appreciate it'll be difficult.
  • Sounds like an *ahem* interesting person.

In fairness, the CCTV isn't a bad idea. Why not install your own and when he next calls the police because you're fighting with him, you can show them hours of footage of him being an !!!!. Or just whip your phone out and tell him you're putting it all up on Youtube.
Have you spoken to the community support team at all? Perhaps just have a chat with someone about his behaviour and that he has a habit of reporting you / accusing you and calling the police on you. Then, at least, when next he does it, they will come forewarned that he's not quite the ticket.
I also think talk to the solicitor again. You probably need to build a case first but that should be easy to do. Just gather evidence.
"So long and thanks for all the fish" :hello:

You had him arrested and charged.

You also took down a fence and installed a new one whilst your neighbour protested. You did this at a time where ownership of the fence was in question.

I would be upset if I was in your situation, but if you want a solution, then dont throw mud back at him. You may well have escalated this to where it is now, and from what I read you are not blameless.

loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

You're making out op brought this on himself. Lets not overlook the fact this neighbour effectively harassed him (knocking on door and throwing stones at the window), abused him (vile vile abuse) and physically assaulted him BEFORE the fence was replaced and this is also the reason the man was arrested.

I suspect you'll have the coppers sympathies if they keep being called round to find nothing wrong (eg dope plants, etc). CCTV excellent idea - £300 for a Maplin special, cover all your own property and not his, so you can have evidence if this continues to escalate - ie if he says you were fighting in the garden you can show you did/didn't. Also, if his CCTV system is wireless, you can always receive those channels too, if they're focussed on your house - may be useful!

    I can sympathise.

I have had boundary issues and problems when building a rear extension.

I did everything by the book - she refused access so my builders could finish the work on her boundary to an visually acceptable standard.

Despite me being able to gain legal access under the Party Wall Act, I just amended the dimension of the extension so it then did not become a party wall.

My wife got threatening phone calls when I was at work suggesting that if I continued with the extension, I would get a 'going over'.

I got solicitors letters (no doubt paid for with legal aid as the fat munter doesn't work) and I even got accused of killing her cat. The funny part about the solicitors letter was that he got the requirements of the Party Wall incorrect and I returned the letter stating that I would be continuing with the work to which he replied I was 'potentially correct'!

She complained about the garden fence which she thought was my responsibility - however, thanks to the Land Registry who explained what the symbols on boundary's mean, it transpired it was also a 'party boundary'.

On completion of the extension, she reported me to the council as an overflow pipe allegedly encroached onto her property - the Council Officer came out and asked why she was complaing as the pipe was totally within my boundary - I suggested he went next door and ask her and at the same time I asked him to tell her to get off my f***ing back.

I had a bay window fitted and we left the glazier to get on with it while we were at work - she complained to him about the banging noise. Try replacing a window without noise!

The neighbour down from her was getting some brickwork pointed - the builders asked if they could use her tap for water that was fixed to her outside wall - she refused.

I can go on - She is mental - as are her kids. No wonder her poor husband went awol! She is not known locally as Psycho for nothing!
