Probably a stupid question ..
If travelling hand baggage and checking in on line ( and printing boarding cards in advance) do you proceed straight to security gates or o you still have to " clock in" with the long line of people dropping off cheked in baggage.
Ryan air I'm afraid lol

you don't go anywhere near the check-in desks - straight to security for you

But don't forget to weigh your ONE piece of hand luggage (max 10k) or it's dimension (55x40x20cm). Easily done before you leave home.
Good luck0 -

Thanks all! Yup specific cases bought . Packed mine - 8.30kg so perfect.
Sub zero cases are the biz for this sort of travel.
Prepared for it to be a but of a cattle market at the airport, but we aren't fussed about sitting together or anything ( kids are big ish) so well be fine.
Even checked the prohibited items to find I can take a safety razor and nils scissors so all good!0 -
you can take nail scissors? I've had mine confiscated every time I've forgotten they are in my bag. Safety razor is fine though.0

just looking at my nail scissors, I'd say there were about 6cms long from the fulcrum, don't be surprised if they're confiscated.0

Strange though the things they will let through that are capable of causing untold damage - Mrs Bob the Saver for one.0 -
Maybe nail clippers would be fine

Make sure you allow sufficient time to pass through security, Ryanair does NOT hold planes for passengers irrespective of who was at fault. I flew back from Faro on Wednesday with Ryanair, and despite arriving 2 hours and 15 minutes before departure I only made it to the gate with 10 minutes to spare due to massive security/passport check queues. Although passengers could have made the process a bit quicker if they had their boarding passes/passports/liquds ready instead of searching through their handbag for 5 minutes!0
