Premier inn good night sleep "guarantee"
Comments

Not sure they do to be honest. I stayed at one in East Kilbride when I went to a cousin's wedding and the mattress was lush, it was soft and when I laid on it it was like getting a hug from the bed
But then when i stayed at the one next to the London Eye last year the bed was hard in comparison. Still, i was so tired that night it didn't stop me sleeping.
Have had the same experience with rock hard beds - it seems to be the newest PI's (last 2-3 years) that have hard mattresses and non sprung bases, which is an awful combination!
I have had two refunds, the newest Southampton branch for a rock hard bed = no sleep, and the Freight Terminal one of the 2 Manchester Airport branches for non working aircon.
At least PI coughed up; Travelodge who I use more often, promised me an e-voucher because of various housekeeping issues at Cardiff Central, nothing arrived and now the management at the branch deny all knowledge.
Which brings me to an important point; complain at the time or at least at checkout and get something in writing from the staff if you are promised a refund or similar.0 -
I'm actually sitting in a Premier Inn bedroom as I type and have no complaints at all, apart from the TV volume, even at it's loudest, is set so quietly that being in a family room we can't hear the TV while the kids are playing, and no, they are not rowdy, they're just chatting and playing at a normal noise level! Ah well!
We always stay in Premier Inns whenever we are away from home as every room, no matter where in the country, is set out the same so we, as a family, feel it's a home from home!! The kids love it here.
We were actually told about their "Good night's sleep guarantee" at the check-in on this trip but hadn't been informed of it on previous trips.I'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!
I seem to have a nasty habit of killing threads!0 -

Funny you should mention that. I've just got back from the Nottingham Premier Inn and the volume wouldn't go above 30 (out of 100) which meant it was barely audible when the fan was on.
It didn't affect my sleep but I'll mention it when I get around to TripAdvisor.
Oh, and how come all Premier Inns have the most flimsy and squeaky staircases?! Always feels like the thing will collapse as I walk down, and I'm only 11 stone.
I'll echo other comments though - they're a league above Travelodge and the staff are always very courteous.0 -
I stayed in one of the Manchester City hotels over the August BHol weekend and the air con was out. The widows did not open and it was awful. Fully booked and unable to switch rooms. Mentioned it on checkout at reception and they were aware of it.
Complained on the website and the after sales survey. Forgot all about it until got a call yesterday, just simply said sorry and we will refund you. Nothing further needed or asked for!
Have used them for years and this is the first time I have ever felt the need to complain to them and will continue to use them again in the future as I find their rooms and service, for what you pay, excellent.0 -

You don't even know me.
Anyway, PI rang yesterday and have offered a full refund. Which I have to say is excellent and that makes me want to use them again, as they are obviously honest and stand up to their guarantee.
Oh used the one in Newbury earlier in the year and said he had no problems, so it seems it's the luck of the draw.
It was aimed at someone who left really insulting posts then deleted them all.0
