Nonsese, total utter nonsense.
Someone who has cats at home will not risk bringing a rescue dog in and takin a chance, I would not for sure.
Jo - sent you and email as PM is not working for me.. me thinks0 -
Cortez (left) is a tiney bit smaller than Zara - with him NOra, a normal size GS female

You have a real chip on your shoulder about rescue dogs.
Nope. I've had rescue animals for the majority of my adult life. They've been great, albeit the dogs weren't by choice. I still did everything I could for them, including love them.
I don't want one this time. I'm not going to be guilt tripPed into taking something I feel sorry for. Not this time.
So where would I get one of the wolfy things, GR? Your passport up to date?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
My passport up to date, know people who know the couriers (not the ones who loose rescue dogs in the middle of the night 1 hour from Dover by a busy motorway and drive of).
So - have passport will travel0 -

Lovely, but I might have to think slightly longer about this......
....and you, well, you're just a bad influence!
[wonders whether train network would be OK with me and something that looks as though it should be howling at the moon travelling to visit GR and Zara regularly]I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
And I wonder about wolf hybrid and cats combo.. TBH....
Love the look of those dogs though... sigh......0 -
The Eurasier is one of the breeds I researched 4 years ago when we lost our old Lab. I think they look gorgeous :happyhear and they seem to combine the slightly wolfy look with a biddable nature.
A few things did put me off though. They are such a new breed to the UK that there are very few breeders, the litters aren't large and they attract a premium price. It must be difficult to tell whether a breeder is genuinely trying to establish a good line and UK presence, or if they are in it for the big bucks.
New dogs are being imported for breeding but the gene pool must be quite small at the moment.
The Eurasier Society and The Eurasier Club seem to be two organisations that feature totally different breeders and it makes me feel that there might be some tension within the breeding community!
In the US they recommend breeding stock is hip-scored and eye-tested but there are no such requirements in the UK so there is no official data on possible health problems."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0
