A quick update before I forget my positive MSE thingies. Right so DH has a Coop voucher for nearly £8 to use before Xmas, Sunday was a NSD and last night out only cost £11.98.

Am hoping today will be another NSD.

Just popping in to report that yesterday was NSD, two in December. I can hardly believe it. Not sure about today though, I really need to get milk.

3 NSDs now but hardly any milk in the house. And I have wrapped 3 Xmas pressies.

Best laid plans and all that. A couple of bills arrived sooner than I expected so I've raided the savings to keep to other budgets and will replace from next month's salary.

Today, I will be spending on dinner out for me and DH and a couple of bits for Xmas.

Well a kind of up and down week financially but we still seem to be on course to enter the new year with our plans intact.

I've had good news on my shares that I can cash in soon so even after paying for our couple of big treats next year there will still be money in the savings account. And DH won £11 on euromillions!

In other news: unfortunately DD did not get an offer for the uni she wanted, but so much else is so good in her life at the moment that I am sure she will bounce back quickly and get other plans in place.

And in case anyone hadn't noticed, it's nearly Christmas. Yay. All presents bought and wrapped, final bitty shopping list now done (and will be delegated to DH) and I have both DD and DS at home Tues and Weds. I was considering doing them a stocking like old times but I'll probably be in bed before them.

I hope everyone's plans are falling into place.

I have woken up full of energy today so I hope it lasts.. bed made and I was dressed within 15 minutes. I'm just having breakfast, so are the dogs, and I've made a start on a batch of Yorkshire puds.

I have the weekend to myself so should be able to crack on with whatever I want. I plan to hoover and mop through the house and take the dogs for a long walk.

Other than that I'll just see what I feel like doing from my long ongoing list.

I think today could be a NSD. I've had more NSDs in December than any other month this year - mad.

I've actually joined a challenge on the forums, the £365 in 365 days. As I don't have cash around the house much, I'll save it online, but I may even try for £2 a day.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Yesterday was a NSD, no worries that I've run out of milk, I can always use the powdered stuff or just drink from the litres and litres of soda stream I've made up ready for Christmas.

I tidied up the storm damage in the garden yesterday, so quite manual work which I'm not used to but I don't ache today. I did however manage to destroy my dog-walking coat. I've had it about ten years so got my monies worth but unless I see another padded jacket in a charity shop I won't replace it. My plan is to use my recent new-to-me winter coat from the charity shop for dog walking and keep my very posh coat which was present from DH for everything else. At the moment it's just for special occasions which is silly really.

Anyway, after a very rainy start here it is now sunny, so I need to get moving. Gym, bath, dog walk and then some household jobs.

Hope anyone reading has a great day.

I am a happy bunny today. Both my babies will be home for Christmas this year with me and DH and I have now finished the paid stuff until Friday. I am just starting to do some food prep and cooking.

Finance wise, we have come in under our Christmas budget and I am looking forward to clearing our debt next year. DH managed to get our main food shop for this week down from £150 to just over £100 using vouchers etc. So well done him!

I hope that anyone who reads my diary has a very happy Christmas xx.

We had a lovely day yesterday. DH brought me a cuppa in bed then he cooked breakfast for us all. Dinner was great, all pressies were lovely and a family dog walk and then games topped the day off. Thought the Xmas telly was rubbish. Might have to choose a film day with DD today.

DH is now back at work and I'm up early to drop DS off at work soon.

In financial news, I've decided to invest in a proper warm new jacket for dog walking. If it lasts as long as my last one it will be a good investment. At least the sales are now on.

I hope anyone reading has a good day.

Pleased to hear you had a good Christmas day. Definitely you'll need a decent dog walking jacket, probably with a hood with the weather we've been having!
