Hi all.
Late logging on today - but at least I've got here eventually!:o
Hoppy Birdday Lou:beer:
and the toilets were in a sort of a shed that you shared with slugs at night:eek: having said that they were clean:D
Pen-pin honey, the people who love you won't see you as a nuisance. (((HUG))) I know where you're coming from though; I get all apologetic about putting people out. Hope today is getting better for you.:o
Thanks for the washing advice yesterday, folks - everything came up lovely and clean with the cold wash, even the white items.:T I thought afterwards, I could've googled it if my brain had been functioning properly, but tbh, I trust the OSers more than some random website I've never used before.;)
Anyways, the anti-b's seem to be starting to kick in; Mr LW has had a little food today, and didn't get up quite so many times for the loo last night; although I did have a load more washing to do this morning_pale_. He's currently watching his "John Carter" DVD.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi all,
Happy Birthday Lou:bdaycake:-enjoy your BBq tomorrow.
LW-glad OH seems a bit improved today, glad the washing tips worked.
(((Hugs to anyone poorly or down)))
I've been sorting some kitchen cupboards & under the sink and doing a bit of chucking.Tea is either stew, the one I made yesterday,or salad,DH wants salad,DS2 wants stew,DS1 doesnt know if he'll be in yet
We are at a BBQ tomorrow as some friends have a new baby GD,so its to celebrate, baby will be there ,think she's about 3 wks now.I've found 2 unopened baby things that I can give as a gift that we bought and didnt use for DGD.I've made 2 cards too,one for the parents, one for grandparents,so thats a bit MS.
I've printed off the form for reclaiming P P I on DS behalf, wrote a couple of weeks ago for the t&c,which came yesterday, but they don't mention the insurance part at all.It was for an egg cc about 8 years ago,and it was only when Bar(lay card tookthem over last year and sent an annual statement a month ago he realised he'd been paying it:eek: We can but try.
Right off in the garden-have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Afternoon all
Happy birthday Lou - have a fab day
Tappers - glad you enjoyed your first holiday in Tarquin!
Fabulous day here, and I'm stuck in the office, although I've been out for last 3 days so can't really complain!
Very busy morning. Had my work kids in, but they were planning their presentation for next week so pretty much left them to it. I then had a meeting to enrol on yet another course - Level 5 NVQ in Management, all funded through work :j. This afternoon some new recruits are meant to be coming in but I won't hold my breath as they haven't responded to my letter/call/texts etc.
Tonight my friend is coming over to do my hair for me as I'm going out for a meal with a new friend, looking forward to it.
OS wise - WM on this morning with bedding, hoovered upstairs, packed lunch made. Need to put laundry away and hoover downstairs later.
Have a good day all

ooh thanks i'll try that x
ive sorted one kitchen cupboard ( thrown 2 carrier bags of stuff away , tubs with no lids etc) and gone through the mugs and glasses and chucked away the chipped ones, it looks a lot better
been to c0stco - unfortunately succumbed to a big tub of clotted cream and DD1 is making scones as i type
tried a few samples of varying things , didnt really need any lunch after that lol and in JTF they had big bags of crunchie and fruit and nut half price- which the DDs put in the trolley other than that we stuck to the list
bedding is almost dry , i did the ironing last night so i may have a siesta this afternoon0 -
Good afternoon Hilstep2000 and all,
Happy birthday Lou, i hope you have a lovely day and the sun is shining in your part of the world.
Thanks for the hugs Moorhen, they are much appreciated i can tell you. I didnt shut my eyes till gone 3am this morning and i'm ashamed to say i fell asleep eating my dinner this afternoon and ive only just woke up. I'm annoyed with myself as i'd have preferred to have gone to bed exhaused tonight as at least i know i would have slept.
Went out this morning and bought the wallpaper for the living room as its time it was decorated. Ive bought the wallpaper and stuff we need out of my Shopandscan vouchers. I dont know whether hubby is going to do the decorating or whether he is going to get someone in to do it. It will look lovely i must say (but i want to change the floorcovering too).
I was going to do lamb for tea tonight but it looks like my son is going out so it will be a late tea for 2 tonight i think.
Hope your all having a lovely sunny day and that your all looking forward to the weekend. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Thanks Guys!
Im feeling a little more with it now, had a good cry this morning and self wallowed for about half an hour, but feel more positive now:D I have the few days away to look forward too and just need to go with the flow. I can deal with the pain and the tiredness but its the total reliance on other people that I HATE!!
OH bless him went to M&S and got their £10 deal for tonight as there is just him and I as DD is away for the weekend. He bought a cooked chicken, mixed veggie bag, cheeseboard and the 2 bottles of valencia OJ's all for £10. We have enough wine and alcohol in and the juices are usually very expensive and lovely with breakfast.
Was supposed to be having friends over tomorrow to split a take away but the kids have come down with a bug and they know I don't have an immune system to fight it, so unfortunately they've had to cancel. Never mind....more time with OH.
Yesterday we were talking about left over veg in the fridge, so I remembered JackieO suggested cooking up a whole swede with carrots, then letting it cool and scoop into portions for the freezer, so think we will do that and apparently also with mash? Does anyone else do this?
Have loads of rhubarb to stew up. Whats the best way to do this please? Thinking of freezing the majority and having with our morning porridge or crumbles etc. We have loads!
Anyway, thank you again for all the positivity.

PenPin I stew rhubarb in the microwave. Just add sugar and a dash of water, microwvae of full power for a few minutes, stir, and put it on again if necessary till it's done. It doesn't burn that way.
Just been on to Quidco and ordered some new bras from Ambrose Wilson. I've been wearing 34F (which I was) but they felt tight, measured myself today, turns out I'm now a 38DD!!!!! I knew I had put on weight, but stillGot to see the doc in a few weeks about my hormone problem, so if I get that sorted I'll probably need the old bras! LOL!

Hi folks!
Back after my month's sojourn in Oz, was wonderful to see DD3 and we had a great time....did over 4000km travelling around Western Australia and still saw very little of it. OH says that he prefers WA to east coast, its lovely but very expensive, even for Irish people!
When I came home I was thrilled to discover that my wonderful children had done a huge spring clean, re-organised the whole house and treated me to a new stairs, landing and bedroom carpet....work and finances were variously distributed but that is not my concern, they have done so much that I haven't had the energy to do for years...maintenance is now all that's needed I am informed by DD2....she uses the word at least every 30 minutes to remind me! Feels like a whole new house and its wonderful....
Happy birthday Lou and hugs to all in need of one....will take me a while to catch up on all that has happened since we went away.
