A quick tea tonight of sausages, eggs, chips and beans. We have quite a few eggs at the moment (chickens are still laying well) so may as well make use of them. I will get some baking done today at some stage too.
Does anybody know when aldi's super six changes? Thanks in advance.

Morning all,
Im still here but not posting much- just seemed bogged down with life at the min- so much to do so little time (I think its called being a woman :rotfl:)
Today's spends
Aldi: £24.61
Meat At the Market: £24 (inc beef shin enough for 4 meals, fillet steak  enough for one meal, chicken thighs- 2 meals, bacon-recipes and breakfasts, gammon)
Market Fruit & Veg: £3.50
Sainsbobs: £8.50 (am shocked how expensive this place is compared to A&da)
Total: £72.81
GC seems to be running away with me this month but im hoping with what we have brought today plus what we already have in this should mean a couple of low spend weeksO/S weight loss 2.5 /10lbs (11st 8.0- 08.02)0 -
Afternoon folks, thought I would update my spends - early days but have made a bug dent in the monthly budget due to getting enough butcher meat for a few months in a bulk order. Butcher order was £134 - should have been £148 but we get 10% discount if bulk buying. I now have mince, beef olives, stew, bolognaise, lasagnes, soups etc all cooked this morning, to go in the freezer once they have cooled. There are steak pies, pork chops, liver, silverside etc which have been put straight into the freezer. Quite pleased with what I have got for my money and I added lentils to the mince to bulk it out. We also had a 'Chippy' tealast night which was not figured into my budget, so in all I have spent £12 (chippy) + £134 butcher meat + £6 bottle wine, total of £152/£350. No immediate spends needed at the moment - hoping for a NSD today ~ the only thing that might be needed is a couple of pounds to put into the collection tin at the local town fete, which happens this evening.Every days a School day!0

Flo hasn't been on in around 6 weeks. I am very concerned.
Does anybody have any real life means of contact?
I also lurk on the "What are you making for dinner thread" and I posted on there a few days ago that she had been missing awhile. I like to see her pic's and everyone else's of course.
I too hope she will be ok?
Off to add up my spends so far. I am determined, yes determined to be in budget this month, I just don't know how some of you do it, I really don't.
But well done to everyone.
Take care

Well today was going to be my last spends day until next weekend or even Monday 10th however I wasn't able to pick up a cauliflower from Lidl and they also didn't have any of the Turkey that's on offer so that's my plan slightly scuppered. DD was even on basket duty to make sure I didn't buy anything else but those things!
The penalty would have been buying her some chocolate. :rotfl:
So I have a question. Do you have to get in there quick to normally pick up the Lidl weekend offers on meat? I went at 1pm. All the other offer items were well stocked but there wasn't any turkey in sight, only a gap in the 30% section. I should have asked but didn'tcould nip in tomorrow morning as it's literally two minutes walk from my house.
Also I noticed some people have made home made tortilla wraps, and I'm going to give them a go tomorrow for lunch. Has anyone frozen left over ones? Any advice for the 'newbie tortilla maker' would be highly appreciated!! I have in the past bought the tiny ones from Sainsburys for DD's lunch but they are ridiculously expensive so making some and freezing them to use for her would be fab.
Well no sig update for me as it was a NSD. It has been interesting for me to see that lots of people spend a good chunk of their budget at the beginning of the month (I guess it depends when your month runs from) but it made me feel a bit better.Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -

I'm doing mine in food only
Today I spent £11.09 in h&b they have buy one get one half price so stocked up on veggie burgers, sausages, seeds and fake meat slices for lunch boxes.
I also spent £14.19 in my local health food shop stocking up On vegan cheese, baking ingredients etc.
I spent £7.93 on fruit and veg at the grocers, for that I got 3 corn on the cobs, a purple cauliflower, 6 peaches, a granny smith apple, a punned of strawberries and three limes. All very fresh and local where possible
In S (I'm guessing you are not allowed to name supermarkets etc) I spent £2.13 on more baking ingredients
I'm now batch baking vegan choc chip cookies to freeze ready for lunchboxes
So today's food spend £35.34. More than I thought so just goes to show you should add it up!0 -

Helenathena - you can name supermarkets if you like, some people prefer not to give them free advertising.0
