I say let's go for it, what could possible go wrong? :think:GC Challenge Newbie!
September £79.39/£1800 -
I ended up blowing £30 in This evening outing, well considering it covered dinner, coffee, film (free), glass of prosecco my friend bought, then cocktails and snacks I got for me and my friend, it was great value! We had a lovely time. Going to update signature now. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0

Anyone heard back from Flo, seems yonks since we last heard.
Feeling more positive about September and back on the straight and narrow. Must be a good month as I received a letter from Nestle to say I had won some Family tickets for Legoland, I'm so excited (in all my 38 yrs Ive never won anything before). If its valid for a year I'm hoping to save it for the next summer holidays, if not we shall go during the October holidays. So positive vibes for this month.
So with the positivity flowing can I be put down for £200 please.
Had first spend yesterday and updated sig accordingly. This month I must come and post more often to keep me on track, hopefully will be easier now schools are back.TopCashback £1792.63My Little World0 -

I am declaring August a great success at just £258.52 spend out of a £300 budget. Thankyou to all of you for the advice and tips.:T
I am going to set Septembers budget at just £250 . This is so I will concentrate on using up my freezers and fridge.
Today will be a nsd as we have so much in already.£36/£240

right my september challenge starts today, i havent set a finite budget as DD1 is going to uni this month and she needs food to take , ive got quite a few bits ( dry stuff with long dates, tins etc) but she will need all fresh foods too nearer the time and im not sure how much that will be , after that i shall have to send her money each month for food so that is going to be a strain
did a shop yesterday and hoping that will last 2 weeks apart from fresh stuff , got lots of meal ideas0 -
Hi all, this month is so far so good, after another massive batch cooking session i have now got a well stocked freezer again, with 28 dinners, so i should really have no need to shop hardly at all apart from fresh fruit and salad stuff etc. I have enough rice pasta and potatoes to last the month, and a very well stocked cupboard.
A small spend of £1.86 in sainsbobs. I was an origional total of £8.84 but i had 2 of their till printed coupons, one for 30p and one for £3.58, so used both of them, and also a Healthy start voucher for £3.10, fab.
I didn't get much for my money but did get
£1.55 - 20 bananas.
£1.50 - 1kg new pots.
80p - Whole cuecumber.
£1.00 - lettuce.
£1 - Fruit flakes ( kids snacks usually £2+ )
£2.99 - sainsburys pick your own salad from their salad bar, enough for 4 meals there for me, am on a bit healthy kick at the moment. So all in all not too bad for an actual cash spend of £1.86
I then went on to buy some super amazing looking broenie cup cake to take with me when i go to see the 2 girls on Saturday£7.50 whoops
Off to update my sig now.

Hello, Iv just skipped over from August GC to put in my challenge total of £200 for September and I hope it goes better than last month. I think Im going to take all the cash out and keep it in a seperate purse as I normally just spend on my debit card and I think that is how I lose track of my finances. Im going to try to keep up with this thread as there are some great ideas and recipies so if that is ok I will be posting more often??SPC No. 295 - SPC No10 target £350
