Hi, sorry to butt in! Congratulations! I just wanted to say that personally i would want it only upto a couple of weeks from returning from your wedding and honeymoon so the excitement of your wedding will still be there from you and your family and friends. My Auntie did this the week after she got married and got back from her honeymoon, and it was all still very fresh in ppls minds.
Thanks for the advise and thanks for the congratulations....... I finally booked the venue for our reception yesterday afternoon...... I have done it for Sat 2nd March so just under two weeks from when we get back.
I think having the weekend free inbetween getting back & the reception date is good as time to prepare last min things ie may need my dress dry cleaning as will be wearing it again.
Well should hopefully have a good tan too0 -
Love My Bargains - that sounds perfect :T Yes, will give you time to sort anything out in time - esp the dress! Oh yes, gotta wear your dress again
but isnt long after your wedding so sounds lovely to me!

Yeah I wouldn't want to leave it too long to be honest. Not that it will be 'old news' or anything but you will be in 'wedding mode' and I think it will all flow nicely if you had it the same week/week afterMarried my wonderful husband on 8/9/12 :j0

Katie that is exactly what i was trying to say in my long winded way! LOL. Think it will flow and it will all be fresh in everyones mind, even for the ones that werent at the ceremony, you and everyone else will still be excited about it all. And the ones who havent gone to the ceremony will still feel included iykwim. My Auntie, as i said, had her party the week after and had only had my grandparents there and her husbands parents at the ceremony, but everyone at the party felt it had just happened, they had their first dance, and it was all very lovely0

Check out "Cadaboo"!! (look for "CADABOO" in Google or YouTube, I can't post a link...)
We made a "save the date" and a wedding movie that tells our own "love story" to show the guests.
cadaboo is an app that makes an animation movie with your faces on it according to information you give - the app asks question and builds the movie at the same time so you can see the progress
it takes only 15 min!
only by PC, dosen't work on tablats/smartphones0
