I have never taken much notice of the coffee machine in our Waitrose but shopped this afternoon and observed it for the first time.

And yes - a steady stream of people getting their free drinks.

According to Waitrose this is an offer that isn't going to go away and so the debate is only going to continue.

The only hitch is that you gamble on whether the coffee machine is *working*. But in true Vegas effect, footfall has risen!

My mum already has a MyWaitrose card purely for the free drink and I have been meaning to sign up. Saw this and it reminded me! If you sign up online, whilst you wait 2-3 weeks for the card to be delivered you can print a page off with the information on so you can start having your free tea/coffee now. A few drinks to choose from and it really is free!!

if you get a John lewis free card you can have free drinks and cake once a month in John Lewis too! sign up online
