many courier companies are pushing staff to meet unrealistic targets.
Where do you think those cheap prices come from?0 -
My favourite delivery story, not sure which company it was but it amusing so worth telling.
Someone supposedly had a parcel delivered but it was not delivered, the delivery company had a "signed" proof of delivery etc but the OP on MSE knew they were lying as they had been in all day.
She complained to the company and they "investigated", the driver remembered very well delivering to the address and even described the front door and that it was bright red.
This was relayed to the OP, who told the delivery company the door was actually black and that it had been painted that colour from red not long after google had been around taking pictures for google street.
The driver had gone on google streetview to look up pictures of the address, his downfall being it was an old picture of the persons door which had since been painted.
She received an apology and compensation.
P.S Yodel don't like being criticised, they've dent legal letters to a few forums including MSE. There's a strong chance the whole of this thread will disappear this week...0 -

Just because many do it, doesn't mean that it is right, or legal. So are you saying that most courier companies are a shambles?
Cheap prices come from huge networks, rather than a man with a van having to drive the length of the country.0 -

Do they? So the biggest couriers are the cheapest?0 -

Most of the time if you have a business contract with them, then they are. And the big companies have forced down the prices for the smaller independents, so that they can compete. This is why so many small courier companies come and go.0 -
Hi all you yodellers! I've found that there are 3 parcel collection points within 800 yards of my home. All open late and when I am ready to collect/return amazon items. Check this link https://www.collectplus.co.uk0
