hilstep - our youngest DD (3 in OCt) has started doing this recently and the volume is piercing! :rotfl: She's either like that or everything's an effort, "I can't do it...", both patterns are so wearing, but I'm trying to close off my mind/ears to her. We're trying to cut down a little on some of the things she eats as she's ever so slightly putting on weight, there are a few folk in the family like that and a couple of small kids, too, and as none of our others were overweight I need to nip that in the bud, too!July 2024 GC £0.00/£400

i need to find something easy to do in the evening. in the day i potter about slowly and i almost forget about my arm but then in the evening i sit down and its aching hurting throbbing and its a real problem. im convinced because im doing other things ( really not too much - dusting and sorting with my left hand) i dont think about it and then when i sit down to rest its all i can think about:mad::mad:

morning all......hot here as per norm.
2 washing loads done.......Oh has business meetings in town today so gathererd up all his work clothes fo a good wash and they are now roasting in the sun....I still use the td even with all our sunshine here as the sunshine and sandstorms really ruin the clothes here...If any clothes are going outside to be dried then I usually put them out around midnight when I go to bed ad take them in first thing......
dd1 and bf are coming home today for the weekend, not sure how much we will see of her as they are planning going to the south to dive on friday and time will be spent between ours and bf"s who lives 10 mins away.
Off in a sec to a friends house to try and help her make cakepops for a childrens party..its a first for both of us so we have been looking at tutorials on youtube........I miss doing stuff like this now my kids are grown.........

shalva,
i always look forward to your posts from your country - i really would never have thought about the sand and sun ruining your clothes when you put them out.
have you always lived there. its wonderful for me to hear about your way of life because i (wrongly) assume that most people on here are from the uk. its great hearing your temperatures. i think today here will be about 24and i wont be able to stand that!!

Good morning Hester and all,
Moorhen thanks for thinking of me. I'm ok, just a bit down if i'm honest. I havent heard from my son since the appointment at the doctors. Yes we have been in touch by messages but no direct contact. Many years ago i sat him down and said i would support his recovery but i would not sit around and watch him destroy himself.... so his visits have been few and far between. When his relationship with his ex started to break down i stopped initiating contact with him because it was clear his ex didnt like me I was too stuck up apparently. Since then the only time ive seen him he has either been in withdrawal or drunk. When he is drunk he doesnt care what he says and to who. He knows i am here, he knows i love him and want the best for him (in case he forgot i told him when we sat together in the doctors surgery). However, he doesnt have my husbands support as he washed his hands of him 10 years ago.
However, ive had to say the same to my middle son who is also going down this self destruction route. At the moment he is out of 'reach' too.
I could quite easily walk away from everything at the moment but thats not what Moms do is it?
Hubby is being difficult too. Apparently i am letting myself go....He's never been one into sensitivity. So i am in self healing mode at the moment. I dont have to go into it very often but when i do its needed badly. I could moan some more but this is a public forum and i aint exactly annoymous to some of you (and i dont like moaning anyway).
Right, moaning finished for today.
Plans for today, ive been and done my daily duties in the garden, stuff in the house can wait till tonight. I always get a cleaning spurt on at 9pm. I think my body clock is out.
Might go and see my friend this afternoon. We can cheer eachother up as both our men aint at home at the moment.
Have a great and sunny day all,This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Judi - hugs and lots of hugs. Moaning is good for the blood pressure.
Washing machine going, on about third wash. I desperately wanted to snooze all morning as I knew little bear would be safe with toys/computer/tv and my 'mum senses' would still be on. I was hanging out washing at 8.20. Little bear is now on fast forward. He has been wanting lunch since 9.30am as his friend will be coming to call after lunch...
LW - hugs
Hugs to anyone I have forgotten.
And something old style! I saw on Wean's blog about mixing half thick/concentrated washing up liquid with quarter white vinegar and quarter water. I've refilled the bottle from the huge container from Makro, and I will see what happens. I've done one wash that has been good. I really want a dishwasher.
Considering making washing gloop as well.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0
