I will say now it's 45 mins of absolute HELL for 60 days (see my other thread about it!) but it's working and you feel brilliant after each workout!

I recognise the word gezellig what does it mean (roughly)
I love their crazy phrases which translates to things like 'not a chicken on the road' and 'slippery as bacon' BF has a few books about the dodgy translations! xxxLife is too short not to love what you do.0 -

Op i find it takes me two to three weeks to lose the taste or craving for something. I would give up the diet coke and replace it with at least an equal volume of water.
I would also suggest that twenty mins a day you can stick to to get into the habit for a few weeks then build on is better than 45 mins that you only last a week doing.
Swimming is great, so long as swim fast enough to be a little out of breath.

Yes I think I will ditch the fizz and replace with some no added sugar squash just for something sweet then replace that with water... I know it will take time to kick the habit. I actually think I have a slight sugar addiction which is never good
Yes swimming is my ultimate exercise, because I refuse to swim slow and set myself goals like 20 laps in 10 mins or whatever.... when I was a kid I wanted to be an olympic swimmer (not kidding!) and now kinda feel guilty when I see the swimming stars of Team GB in London... xxxLife is too short not to love what you do.0 -

Gezellig is a word often used to describe having a good time with other people. It can be just one other person, or many people & it can be a quiet event, or something more active/louder. So, you could say the party was gezellig. But equally, you could say that the evening in with your bf was gezellig.

I work in lifestyle healthcare which obviously encompasses weight management. Concentrate on the eating rather than the exercise, you can eat 500 calories very quickly but it will generally take you at least an hour to burn it off.
You have already identified a number of issues: firstly that if the food is there you don't have the self discipline not to eat it especially if feeling emotional. Solution is the same as for those stopping smoking not to allow yourself access to the food: don't keep any in the house, don't carry cash, don't walk past a vending machine or drive past your favourite corner shop - change your routes - only go to the supermarket once a week or once every two weeks, shop only on a full stomach, practice discipline at the checkout by removing items from your trolley or do an online grocery order. Secondly get support from your GP with the underlying emotional issues, be that counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy or medication. The heartburn is more likely the fizzy drinks not the salads, as soon as you switch from comfort foods to salads you have nothing to sop up the excess acid.
What are you eating when dieting, what is an average day? Are you concentrating on what you can and should be eating or not what you can not and should not be eating? Basically a healthy diet for most people is: NINE portions of fruit and veg a day (80g is a massive amount of salad leaves), three portions of low fat dairy per day, one portion of oily fish every day OR a 3g EPA/ DHA supplement, another portion of healthy fat every day (nuts, seeds, avocado, olives, creamed coconut), protein little and often, low glycaemic index whole carbohydrates only (beans, lentils, barley, sweet potato, berries, tree fruits, veggies, brown pitta bread, brown basmati rice), two litres of sugar free fluids (tea, squash, water, milk). If you consume all this you should be full up and have no room left for rubbish!!
No sugar, no carbonated drinks, no white/ refined carbs, limit processed grain products (breakfast cereals, fluffy breads, pasta), limit alcohol and caffeine, no skipping meals always have breakfast.
Sugar addiction: start the day with a substantial breakfast and eat every four hours thereafter, small portions of low glycaemic index carbs always combined with small portions of complete protein (fish, eggs, dairy, meat). Lower the GI of the meal - keep your blood sugar stable and tummy full - further with a little healthy fats, lemon juice, grapefruit juice or vinegar. White/ refined carbs behave like sugar in the body so chuck them in the bin. Not sure what you mean by 'bloating' without the fizz, but if you mean slower digestion/ constipated that is because sugar, caffeine and many sweeteners are laxatives. Solution is a supplement of friendly bacteria (freeze dried acidophilus capsules) plus a fibre rich diet - eating lots of fruit, veggies, beans, lentils, nuts and seeds as suggested above. Splenda (sucralose) is not a laxative AFAIK so look for drinks sweetened with that if you don't like water.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
